Does your bride have an embroidery machine, to put a logo on a shirt? If so does she do it for $$?

I have no idea about embroidery as she does quilting and normal sewing tasks, she has two machines that take programming the rest of them are older devices.
Her over lock machine is about 30 years old and runs from 1 to 4 needles and metal fatigue took out the shank adapter for the presser foot. I stay clear of both the programming and machine timing.

Sounds like they are taking advantage of you. Take the time off. If they dont let you, look for a new job.

Oh the hours I work at home does NOT come off of my vacation hours-I am the one who tracks the hours :D

technically we dont carry them over but I dont penalize someone for not taking their time within the year. I will extend their year a bit of need be.

BTW, I just finished using my vacation time from 2017 a few weeks ago. A few years ago I became determined to not lose my time any longer. In the past I have lost as many as 10 days in a year. No more.........

Now that you have a nice enough vehicle, invest in the Weather Tech floor mats. $$ but well worth it
Unless you already have em

They make the ones that stick to the outside door frame, and the kind that actually go in the door window channel....which did you get? The in-channel ones look better.

EDIT: Check that....I see they only do the in-channel ones. Vent Visor does both. I like the ones you got.

They are not "stopping" me from taking the time off, but I have to get things done by a certain time. So, either I work from home on vacation days (or weekends to make up for it), or I just don't take them. Last year we lost $1M - no, that isn't we just made $1M less than expected, we actually lost $1M and did not make a profit in any quarter - not due to any fault of the company. We had to let many people go and not replace other key people that retired.

I expect them to remember my dedication over the last 1.5 years and the massive hours I put in for them when it comes time that they are in a position to do something for me. We actually made a couple thousand dollars in Q1 and it looks like we will be making a decent profit Q2 so the turn around is happening. Oh, and we have made a good dent in paying the owner back that $1M she financed for us not to go under (or get bought by someone else - most likely a customer).

The used floor mats I had ordered (and then returned) were Husky. Both WT and Husky have great ratings on the Explorer Forum I belong to. Now I have to go back and order new, so I'll have to decide which brand I will go with - they both have their pluses and minuses.

I think the in-channel look better than the ones that stick on the outside too. They were easy to install too.

I have the Weathertech floor mats and when they get dirty they are very hard to clean. The dirt just seems to stick to them. The Husky's may be the same but not sure.

This is an issue separate from the actual PTO/FTO benefit.
    This is an employer issue.
The is nothing wrong with either PTO/FTO, and should be considered something that
not every worker has. I went years working construction with ZERO bennies..
take off the Thanksgiving and the day after...
with no pay.. and no option to work... some Holiday...!!
If you "can't" take it off.. then that is something to be dealt with in a different manner...
If you remain silent about not being able to take it off, while others can,
you are doing yourself or others no help.
You should be able to be under the same guidelines as everyone else....

I saw this post after I read the other one.
It does seem like you are happy enough with the situation you have, in the long run.
(However... I think they should do maybe a tick more to allow you some uninterrupted time that you choose...)
I hope they DO remember your loyalty!

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with PTO/FTO - I've had plenty of jobs with zero paid time off and no other benefits either. For several years, I had two full time jobs. The only days off I had those years were Christmas and 4th of July (Yes, 4th of July used to be a closed business day). I did get Friday nights and Sunday nights off though.

Evidently your missed (or forgot) about this
I do what I must and will endure this until such time as it gets better, or it does not and I can take no more. I've closed down 3 businesses, so I am grateful that hasn't happened and I don't have to pound the pavement.
