Weather is pretty nice so I did a quick oil change on the Jeep, grabbed some MWP form HD, and am now exercising the generator. Stove has been off for two hours.:dancer:

This Champion generator does a good job.

    Voltage under about half load
And hertz. Hertz was 60.0-60.2 the whole time i watched it.

    I need to confess.

I am becoming a pellet snob.

For me its the convenience, I may be pretty pampered most of the time but sometimes I still had to bring in armloads of wood splits, start the fire/turn down the fire (constant babysitting from high winds here), and then clean up the bark trail inside. I have difficulty getting around and the baby gate infront of our woodstoves was TOUGH on me when stoking the fire.

I love the Eco-65, would like another to replace our wood insert if we could LOL.

If I had a choice? Wood over pellets?

Pellets will win every time. My woodstove won't run for over a day on a single load. It won't relight itself when the house gets cold and it won't keep my house an even temp 24 hrs a day..

And those 3 things don't even mention the convenience of not having a 3 yr supply, the mess (bark, bugs, and ash), and all the equipment needed to process yourself.

    Love my pellets

So my rye grain experience was so-so!;) Very cold outside -15F :shiver:and everything to the max(#5 heat & Fast Feed(forgot #)). I did a mixture of rye & pellets before going to bed because the rye was loosing ground:dremel:. This morning the house gained some lost ground from the night before:yes: I'm happy with the results but wish the rye would of been better. I had to slow down the air because of the weight was much lower than pellets but this morning the flame was hitting the top and seemed to be on the lazy side so I bumped up the air some.:)

The process will take care of the off spec issue.

But I understand the desire to preclude the :heidi: issue.

I may have mentioned previously that I wanted a pellet stove for my back room. Intermittent usage my estimate about a ton a year.

So I contacted Andy over at AM/FM and ordered up a 55-TRPEP!! Just waiting for shipping confirmation. Hopefully I get it installed in a reasonable amount of time. PS. Andy was great. Responded very quickly to all my questions .....hoping it gets here in one piece lol
