Yikes. I lived outside of Buffalo and worked in Hamburg for a few years. Saw some snow, but never 277 inches worth!

Pellet related: down to my last 6 bags of Somersets. :(

Non pellet related: replaced the intermediate steering shaft and lower column bearing in the truck today. No more clunking/rattling when turning.

Yep. It's a 2005 so I knew I'd have to do a few things to it. Only took about 45 minutes to do both. $68 shipped to my door for both the intermediate shaft and lower column bearing from Rock Auto. The chain stores around here wanted $72 for just the ISS.

GM can 't seem to get I-shafts right. Especially around the 05 year, cars, trucks, SUV's they all sucked.

Did my 07 Impala ISS back when I still had that car. Supposedly the latest Dorman design is the permanent fix. The one in the truck was done under warranty around 30k (had that paperwork with the truck). It had "REWORK" in big letters on the sticker.

I thought the column bearing was going to be a PITA. The old one about fell out of the column. The new one was a bit tough to get back in, but not impossible. Worst part was laying on my back under the column and twisting myself in ways I haven't had to twist in a long time. A celebratory beer afterwards helped.

Well today is gonna consist of stove cleaning, calling around to see if anyone has pellets, moving a few bags inside for the upcoming week, house cleaning (wifey on vacation) and talking to my boy about the progress of our little addition we are building and going over some questions that building inspector dreamed up. I really need to do a little tuning on my target bow, but there is a work party going on at the archery club so I can't use the place until later. Need to relax a little, so may watch a little nascar later and of course huntin and car shows this evening since I have total say of living room TV.

There are a lot of trees with widow makers, and bent tops from the last ice storm. This might be the straw to break the camels back. I see a lot of weak trees coming down if the weather man is right!

When that happens, and branches come down along the road, do folks gather up wood while they help clean up?

To be honest I do not see people stopping to pick up the wood. Right now there are 4 houses with huge trees down, and those people do not burn wood. I guess the folks are waiting for warmer weather to clean up the wood. I have seen branches and and cut up wood along the road. If I had a wood burning stove, I could of had a good many truck loads from the previous storm.

Hope you ride the storm without issues!

Supposed to be just some light snow for us, But I won't be surprised if I awake to 10" of snow. Weather casters haven't got many of these storms right lately. I do see some warming later this week towards the weekend. 40ºF will feel nice about now! Been a long drawn out cold one this season.

Well, for once the snow has missed me....thank god! Pretty sure it's the first one of the winter that did.

But, the forecast low for tonight is 0℉ or lower, so I just finished a cleaning. Had some nasty carbon buildup in the RF corner of the pot that I had to use a real chisel to get it out, but she's humming along now. A bag of Sets will be going in before bed tonight.:fire:
