New weather station says .97" of rain today. Guess I believe it, rained pretty much all day. Lost the snow on the solar panels and 90 % of the roof. Even had the doors open at the shop today. :D

My Trailblazer is 17 yrs old, has 245K miles, and has been washed like you do since new. It is just starting to show some rust spots on the tailgate & top of RR wheel opening. The salt is a killer.....wash the car as often as possible in the winter. Undercarriage wash is a must after bad storms where a lot of salt has been used.

I believe it Doggy. The house & shed roofs had all the snow gone by noon time, and the ground is 97% bare now. 10:15 now, and still 56* out.

No like that bud , that sucks , I've been there, done that, on several occasions , till l finally bit the bullet and had the interior french drain and sump pump installed . Now no worries with heavy rain and snow melt big $$ but worth it in the long run .

Always go thru the cheap/free stuff first. I don't know how many times I've read accounts of people replacing stuff (probe, board etc) and that not being the issue. Sure, may not be that easy to empty out a hopper, but it is free and always worth a little effort to ensure there isn't a simple explanation.

Yeah, its just seeping through the saturated foundation. Sump pump is keeping up with the water below.

We will do one of two things. Spend the money so it stays drive or move. My vote is move.

My garage is flooded, nothing new there. Got the drain pipe extension put in place so the sump is taking care of it when it finally reaches that corner. Probably have some on the basement floor too, but it usually is just damp when it happens. With the system I have in place, shouldn't be a big deal and should evaporate without causing damage. Am keeping an eye on the stuff just in case.

Mine would push up thru the floor , as the foundation sits on solid rock . I didn't have a sump pump before and after 20 years the exterior drains fail , so no where for the H2O to go .

Mine comes thru the floor too - but just a little seepage. The garage's issue is mostly coming in thru the overhead door.

Just watched the temp. drop 12 degrees F on the thermometer, in less than 10 minutes.. o_O

Sleet/freezing rain outside now. Killer wind here too, Will. Safe travels to you & Steve today.

Sorry to read about the rain / "cellar dweller" issues above - that sucks. In-laws basement used to flood, what a royal PITA that was when the 'call' came over here. :headbang: I must.really.love.my.wife. :picard: The in-laws were o.k. too.

    * Keeping a good thought that your pumps are working o.k, and you get rid of that moisture quickly.

yup, well said! Even though I make money on parts, I hate selling parts to folks who are just throwing parts at the stove in the hopes THAT part is the issue. We dont take back electrical parts in return, so, that $200+ circuit board will be an expensive shelf princess for quite some time.....

As of this morning all the roof snow is gone. I dont think I have ever seen such a fast melt off of the roof when it had so much snow up there. 2 days ago the garage had 14" in some areas-being an unheated garage with no insulation, melting all that in 2 days is crazy

They wouldnt do this either-without the SSN they would want my drivers licence # and be paid in advance.

Oh well, I have my order in with Rimes to fill the tank next week. If I find someone else before they fill then so be it but I am not sweating it. It will likely be my last transaction with Rimes. One dealer I will check into this spring is Downeast Energy although I dont know if they service my area-right now they are not taking on new accounts.

That sounds smart G - you should have more options, after the winter season.
No need to rush, this time of year.

Same thing when I was a mechanic and today with copier repair. Technicians deal with so much hi tech stuff now that they forget to check the basics

looks like the igniter crapped out on my 52I. I've been lighting it with the propane torch and ran it in stove temp mode last night so it wouldn't shut down. was a little warm in the house this AM.

I have a spare, so we'll pull the stove out and perform the surgery this afternoon.
