Looks nice, good menus. 90 minute drive one way. Worth it?

I have to share my epic fail with you all. With the cold temps, I have been eating pellets left and right. Being disabled I should of waited for help to bring pellets in, but I am block headed. I decided I would move them from the shed to just inside the sliding glass door off the kitchen, and slowly move them to the utility room a little at a time. As I put the last bag on top of the stack, I reached down to take my boots off, and so it began :bug: As I looked up I seen the stack headed for the kitchen. The stack hit the wooded cupboard with the baking stuff in it, flipped it over, and hit the microwave stand. From the there the microwave stand on wheels headed across the kitchen, when I saw the microwave getting ready to take flight. Thank god my family member was able to stop the microwave from hitting the floor. This almost cost me a new microwave, and my pride. Instead of cussing like I normally would of, I just had to laugh, chit happens!:headbang:

It isn't a fancy place, just has decent seafood, so you'll have to decide.

They also sell seafood for you to take home to cook.

I believe there might be a review in Downeast Magazine that gives them a decent rating.

I'm always too busy scarfing down a seafood platter or something else to pull out the manual on doing a valid review, oh and the Tukerman's was just what the doctor ordered for nap inducement. The boss had to stop in at The Bolt on the way back and use some of her Christmas gift.

Our trips to Cornish started years ago. Sometimes they continued on past Cornish and ended at Keepsake Quilting in NH. The shop that started the stops in Cornish was the Barking Rose, a Quilt shop on Old School Street in the Walter Perkins House http://bbemaildelivery.com/bbext/?p=email&id=9862cd36-1397-4f46-9b88-853d48dde42f , Rose was the name of the shop owners dog, the shop owner passed away a couple of years ago. The Bolt is on Main Street and continues the presence of a quit shop and quilting classes in the town.

Hate, I mean HATE ice storms. Even when you are careful, not everyone will do them same. There is only staying inside until conditions improve or risk your life. I have a hard time walking on solid ground and no chance on ice. Two of my sons drive about 60 miles to work each day. I worry every day and pray they are safe. Glad to be retired now.

Does that dome actually deter the squirrels? I have some pretty acrobatic ones around here that would have a field day with that thing.

The best squirrel deterrent I have found was suggested by a local bird feed shop. Take 6, 2 liter bottles and poke a hole in the center of the bottom of each. String 3 on each side and out the bird feeders in between them The bottles spin and the squirrels fall off. Not real pretty, but it works pretty well.

Guy was nice enough to suggest this instead of selling me something that wouldn't work.

My daughter gave me a really squirrel proof bird feeder. It is a Brome 1024 available on amazon for $90. You also need a long arm hanger so the squirrels can't hang from a pole to the feeder. This feeder is easy to fill and is squirrel proof. First feeder I've ever owned that really keeps the squirrels out.

Teresa gave me this one at least 6 years ago. It does a good job but the few acrobatic squirrels still manage to hang off the bottom and do stomach crunches to get what they want.

At first, I was more worried about bear being it was sooooo expensive:bug:, but this thing has stood up to at least 5 different times being pulled down by a bear and dragged into the woods. Got the teeth holes to prove it.

Best feeder I have had yet and the company sends out replacement parts for lifetime warranty.

Cracked and needs a crown. 90 percent chance of NO root canal. He will have me use the temporary for a while and see if there is any pain..if so, root canal.

Going on the 21st for round 1 to do the grinding, impression and temporary. Until then, I have to be careful not to use that side and crack it further.
