Well all this Bear can say is I stay away from companies that change their face like Ryme's did to a customer.

I have lost both a power supply and a motherboard so I know how that goes JT but it was years between them going belly up.

The steamed part never really happened. It was more of "what do we do to fix this now" mode that kicked in. I lucked out and found Estes on the 3rd call to locals. The others were actually sympathetic to the situation but couldn't help. At least they sounded like they cared, Rymes couldnt give a chit.

Estes got there this morning to find that the oil tank wasnt empty and still had 100 gallons-its a boiler issue. They called and said they could get a tech there sometime today if she wanted. She took them up on the offer and as of a few hours ago, they hadnt arrived yet but they should be there sometime today/tonight.

We talked around noon and I told her, no more trying to save a few pennies, use Estes. They deserve the business after today.

I am calling around to switch as well. The big oil that I wont go back to is Eastern Propane-never again with them

Funny, the manager I spoke with told me that they cant keep their trucks running due to the cold. Demand is one thing, improper maintenance and lack of fuel conditioner is another. The "we dont give a chit" attitude is what got me. Not even, let me see what we can do for a long term paying customer that has had an apparent malfunction.

Talk about a public CYA scenario right there to cover up their incompetence. Total BS. Good luck to them as they wont be getting any more of my money.

Actually B, that was the red flag for me and I said that to others back then. Taking on more than they can chew. This scenario was inevitable with their taking on so many other customers without properly preparing themselves for it.

or more likely a clogged filter. this ultra low sulfur fuel requires a Biocide annually. it's made by Power Services and will kill the black slime that grows in the lines and the filters.

also, if your tank is outside, you need to use fuel oil especially for mobile homes in this cold weather. it has a kerosene percentage. or at least use Power Services diesel winter fuel conditioner - it has an anti gel additive. reminds me to put some in the DMax when I get home:yes:

New tank is inside-old tank was outside so she knew about dealing with that. They didnt leave any paperwork yet as they are hitting and taking off to the next customer issue but I would say either filter or igniter. We will see.

I have two 330 tanks inside. went to see fuel levels a few years ago and discovered one at 1/4 and one at 3/4. took filter out and had no flow from tank after opening valve. biocide cleared it up immediately.

we have trouble with the diesels on the farm as well. I have a concoction of power services, biocide, and MMO. a few ounces is all it takes in the spring.
