Mine goes into heated storage - and the dealer does all the maintenance it needs while it's there. Plus, I don't have any place to store it during winter while my snow blower needs that spot in the garage. Nice that you have the room!

Well, not thinking that it was a bad thing that I got a ton of pellets from TSC a couple of weeks ago - needed cleaner burning pellets for while the house/pet sitters were taking care of the stoves. Started the season with 6 tons in the house (1 ton outside but it is snowed in) and thinking it will be a season that I will use all of that.

If its a common pipe plug? Then slap some PST(pipe thread sealer) on it. Will help keep it from leaking. Even with good en tight I slap some on. I always seal pipe plugs and fittings. I like no leakies.

Loctite ® 565™ PST ® Thread Sealant, Thread Sealing - Loctite

Found mine at an Ace hardware store. ;)

That sucks Sub ! Got a call at work yesterday as I was walking from the job to the parking lot from the wife frantic said there was a flood in the laundry / bathroom ended up being the drain for the washer was frozen , hopefully thats all it is. Going to have to stick a couple of heaters under the crawl space and thaw it but hopefully none of the water feeds are frozen. Sure enough the P43 was out of pellets and had shut down, really have to give the hopper extension some serious consideration.

Oak going on the P43 in the cellar today and if Higgins has the goods I am adding one to the P68 as well don't care how ugly it looks the Mrs. is gonna have to accept it the drafts are just to much . Also going to grab a pallet of La Crete's and give them another go as my first try sucked but think they were abused as they looked like cracked corn so small and full of fines.
Not sure how much cleaner they will burn then the Northern's but hoping a little cleaner so that the stove will stay more efficient longer in between my weekly cleanings.

Thats the game plan anyways, sure many are thinking what the heck is he talking about ? But i have to run my stoves hard to keep the house warm when the highs are in the single digits and lows in the negative everyday i go through some serious pellets and by the 5th day the stove is not running as efficient by the 7th day its in need of a serious cleaning to get it back to where I need it .
With this week off I will have some time to add some insulation where I can which will be one of the priorities no doubt .

My last house was like that. Turn left and it is a hard uphill. Turn right and there is a short downhill before a hard uphill. Oh, and the driveway was a hard uphill (both ways - a horseshoe) coming into it.

I'm not sure it is so great as my BP goes the wrong way when I ride that damm thing. I am sure I can go a lot further than the 3.3 I did yesterday. I think I'll increase the resistance today just for gigles and stop at 2.00 or so. Not racing so I can go slow.

That's ok, 'cause most us over-tighten the plug anyways. Hand-thread to snug, then give 1/8 turn further, done.

** Once the plug is snugged up, it shouldn't take any more force than it would lifting a full gallon of milk, to 'torque' to just about proper spec. **

Keep an old rag or cotton shirt handy, clean up any oil or drips from the plug after install.

Fill w/ warm oil and check after 5-10 min. - any oil seep or drips, give another 1/8 turn. That would be lifting (2) gallons of milk.

Most torque values for these types of items are in inch-lbs. of torque. Divide the value by (12) to get the equivalent foot-lb. torque value.

Always check the oil level after a fresh change before, during (if an extended run), and after the next use.

It's a simple procedure, and you don't need to buy $$$ of stuff: use an old brownie pan, etc. as the oil catch pan, a small thin funnel that fits the fill tube should cost about a dollar.

Read about your battery troubles, but it could've been worse: got into work yesterday, co-worker had both his vehicles no-start, outside, due to the cold. Ouch.

I have yet to try the '01 Intrigue in the driveway, going out to pull the battery and bring it inside / stick it on the battery charger for a few hours, after more coffee. :coffee:

You should do whatever feels best w/ the exercise bike: no need to over-do it or force a reaction w/ meds.. "Slow and steady" wins the race.

I just had one of those days, hopefully today goes a lot better the battery issue was my dumb fault, weak door close on my part. The car is going in for a new battery the boss admitted that the one in the vehicle was
long o'the tooth but it shoudn't have caused an issue if the door had been closed. I doubt if I worried enough about the car to have raised bp readings.

I can appreciate that David - the car situation here w/ Natalie has been a BP raising event for months now. We got handed a Lemon, and after another $800 in personal repairs & time (that can be measured in weeks) doing repair work myself, it's still a lemon.

And 'nickel-and-diming' me out of Pellets and Beer here. As much as I don't want to admit defeat, I can't afford the time & $$$ every time I turn around, to keep investing into the vehicle.. Sigh. Time to move on.

Life's too short, to be stressing the small stuff like this.

That's why we were test driving Subaru's yesterday. If the finance "stars in the universe" align, we may be adding a Subaru to the driveway today.
