Got stopped by a moose,in the back woods there, thick woods, about a mile from the road,I just jacked a shell in the 7mm(was scared crapless),but, after pawing and taking out a few trees,he ran off,man was I happy,Took down massive trees with his antlers, leaving.Moved out here, the moose out here are small compared to what you all have,a different sub-species.But,boy,I was scared.

Smart man being scared....I've seen tourists follow a moose into the woods to get a picture :loco:

I ran across one several summers ago when mountain biking a dirt road near my house. We both stopped a few hundred yards apart, looked at each other for a minute and he/she trotted off into the woods. I didnt follow......

Route 1 turns into barely a road.

Since living up here,I have had many moose in my yard,on my property(but the smaller breed, out here in montana)never had a problem with them. Then quit seeing them.Well,I had an Anatolian Shepard (huge),he passed away, then I found out moose will go out of their way to kill a wolf(my Anatolian was white). The moose here seem not to attack,as long as you do not run.

OK,think I made a bad mistake, ran out of canned cat food.Since I brought this critter back to life last winter,he has always gotten a 1/3 can of good quality cat food, every night.I ran out.Did not make it to town, today.Gave him a small portion of tuna, from a can(yes,I know, only limited amount for a cat),he will not let it go!Keeps jumping in my lap, meowing at my nose, strutting up and down the house, meowing, have I created a monster?

Yes you have  . Give him the rest of the can of tuna. Just like us, splurging once in a while wont hurt him.

Years ago I use to feed the cats canned food in the morning as soon as I got up for work at 4:45 am, they free fed dry all day but canned is the treat. Then on weekends, guess what-they would wake me up at 5:15. Changed to feeding canned after work solved that issue after they re-learned the treat feed time.

My cat just gets the tuna juice. So I'll say you created a monster there.

    Good morning FHC peeps,

Haven't posted about life the past few weeks 'cause it's been too darn busy. Been working lots of extra hours, and trying to finish the vehicle(s) here for inspection and/or towing out of the driveway. (2) vehicles towed out (the Taurus and a Kia Sportage), (2) Kia Sportages to go. Waiting on a replacement title from State of NH for one of them, b4 they both sail away to the salvage yard sunset.

The (2) "new" additions, the '96 Camry v6 I've been rehabbing (going well), and a 2001 Olds Intrigue used-car dealer purchase should hopefully both be stickered by the end of this weekend.

The '01 Olds, well, I got taken on it. We went to this dealer when I was bringing Natalie (oldest) out to training in Concord back in early Sept., agreed on another vehicle: that ended up having 'title issues' / aka, they didn't want to honor the sales price, as I found out.. This '01 Olds was offered in replacement, but I never really had the chance to fully vet the vehicle properly b4 purchase.

Took the '01 Olds in for inspection the other day, and was shown the trail-of-rust-and frame patchwork underneath the vehicle.. It was ugly. This was after spending another $400+ in parts to get it road-worthy / inspectable (brakes, mirror switch /mirrors, etc.) Owner of the shop I took it to said "don't drop another dime into it", verified the repairs I made, and gave it a sticker. I've known him for a lot of years - since we moved here, but wasn't expecting that: after being shown the issues w/ the vehicle.. getting a sticker on this vehicle was a real gift.

Natalie won't be driving this '01 Olds though, at the very least until I get some road time on it, and only then, locally. This was supposed to be Natalie's car for work, while I'm not 'happy' w/ the situation, no sense crying in my Cheerios over it, we only have about $1,500 total into it at this point. If I can get a few months road-time on it and/or "push, pull, or drive into" a more reputable dealer w/ it for a better (upgrade) trade in, that's what will happen. I won't be selling it to anyone privately, given what I've seen underneath though.

The '96 Camry still needs some minor body work repair, doing that this evening. Everything else: yard work, stove work, home repair - been on hold. Been "busy like a bee" between car repair, and extra IT work, to pay for all the shiz needed.

I still have to cleanup the trail of car repair & IT install tool destruction in the porch room / workshop, that's at least half a day's work.. Maybe later. With Beer.

Crazy that I have more confidence in a '96 Camry w/ 340,000 on the clock vs. this POS '01 Olds w/ 140,000 miles this morning. * Just Thankful & counting the blessings we picked up the '96 Camry as a "pellet hauler" / plan B vehicle backup, 'cause it's moving up the car reliability food chain, PDQ.

Still lots of car stuff to do, way past being 'enthusiastic' w/ car repair - time to get it done & more onward & forward quickly. Yay. Yahoo. Yippee. I really need a Beer.
Have a fun day all. :coffee::flipeggs::coffee:

Well that sux - being taken on that Olds. I'll bet that Camry has lots of life left in it if given a bit of TLC.
