They've been good to me so far. Definitely happy with them. I read a good review of Heatr's here and tried to get some at Safeway today but they were cleaned out. I'd still like to try them. Maybe after the cold spell is over lol

Heat is the key!I tried to show that pellet suppliers use local baggers(last year on another forum)and nobody wanted to listen to me even though it is the facts, which is why quality is so incosistent.Just logic, how can okanagen or northern idaho sell pellets 30% cheaper after trucking/rail them to the east coast?I may not be burning the most efficent pellets but they have been very consistent for over ten years.I think oakie owns most of the southern NE plants now,and they get what does not go to europe.

I used to design/sell commercial office furniture, it was common practice for one company to mass produce but private label under many names, no doubt this happens with pellets. There was something here where one upc identified that....

For sure. The pellets I used to get at my old place of work were the same ones that they sell at King Soopers, all made by Confluence energy. Rocky Mountains and Eco Flames. They sold for $6.75 at my place of work and $4.99 at King Soopers. Busting open the bags and burning them you can not tell a difference. Even if you put a cup of either in front of me I couldn't tell you which is which.

Yes has been going on for years, just trying to give good info to pellet burners and why quality is so different, without getting banned,There is a poster that sells for them but try to get the truth out of him!The facts are europe is getting big into wood pellets in their electricity plants(low grade pellets, cheaper to make)but canada, and now southern US has been sending lots over there, which makes home heating pellet prices higher. If this continues, and bulk oil prices stay low,we will be in for 1-2 winters of not burning pellets as propane and heating oil will be cheaper.

Agree with everything you say except those pellets are not cheaper, never mind 30%. They are the highest price pellets around my neck of the woods.
