Too darn cold here. The wind is trying hard to knock things over. The temp is dropping fast. It was snowing at 5 AM when I let the dogs out first. No accumulation then.
When the dogs go out, they take care of their business fast and come right back to the door barking to be let back in.
Hate like heck to loose power again. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Went out for a free Veteran's breakfast at Denny's. 20 min. to be seated, and another 30 min. to be served. Well, it was something to do anyways.

I have a wallpaper on my cellphone that is tied to some weather app. For some reason it is stuck on 8/2/2015 and I dont fix it because it shows Sunny and 70 degrees all the time-just the way I like it. :)

So far, the newly repaired fireplace is purring along. I've got it at it's lowest setting, and don't even have the room blower on, and it's 71* in here.

It’s a balmy 20 degrees in northern Michigan. My hopes for doing one last leaf cleanup have been shot down my Mother Nature.

On a brighter note, I did my spring cleaning in the Fahrenheit last night and it’s up and running. Seems every year I tell myself I’ll get it done before it gets cold, then I find myself cleaning the venting and running the leaf blower when it’s 25 with a stiff wind.

    Hope everyone is staying warm.

Anyone want to take a stab at why this is the case:

If you use the "back" button on your browser, you may be viewing outdated information. Once you click into a county, use the link titled "Click here to return to outages by county" to navigate up a level.

This is on the CMP power outage site.

Put a big W in the column today ! First of the week, hell lets be honest eh first in a month or so at least. Started the day waking up at same time i do everyday 3:00 am hung out in front of the stove for a bit and went back to bed an hour later and slept for another hour (its the small things that matter). Once up had a delicious cup of coffee and really enjoyed it as it was at home and not on my way to the Hellvard jobsite ! (Harvard 2 year project absolute Hell every day) After browsing the forum here while having a delicious coffee I got up and started on the Harman and went OCD on it cleaning it and all associated pipe, next down to the cellar and same OCD on the PelPro put in a good 4 hours between the two of them. Good timing as that was when it started to drop like a mofo and the wind was relentless on the old farmhouse but both stoves were up and running like they were new. Then off to homeless depot to buy a new sander and happen to like it very much, always exciting to buy new tools that turn out to be great tools.

In the last wind storm Old Glory's support got ripped out of the post it was fastened to and I have not had time to take care of it and it bugged me everyday seeing it folded up just sitting in the house. The porch light that lights it at night went south as well so today I reinstalled the holder (3" screws) set Old Glory back in and fixed the light so happy I am as i can hear it in the wind and see her proudly again. Had to do this Veterans day tomorrow ! After that jumped back in the truck and went back to where about ten years ago at a small local merchant I bought my favorite Carhartt jacket of all time. I have always kept my eyes out for the same jacket but have never seen it, well today i found the same jacket at this merchant (last one he had)! Ran a bunch of other errands I have been wanting to get to for some time. Yup the small things in life for a simple man as myself really matter. Ok i have finished my book for today.
BIG WIN TODAY Hell Yeah ! Life is good, wife's cooking, stoves are cranking and having some Bourbon.

I am suppose to help out in Kittery where no cleanup has started yet due to soccer weekends. Hoping to change the date but not as of yet.

We may make the rounds tomorrow and see if we can find a deal on any existing ride mower left at any big box-her yard is really big and she now has no help with her sons up on Portland now. The old push mower is done so its definitely time for a ride mower there.

I found a John Deere 42" D105 at Roch HD for 1299 (300 off regular price). Not too bad but will check other locations first for a 46" Cub Cadet-may have one in Portsmouth.

If we can score a rider, cleanup will be much easier
