    There is a procedure to help break up the carbon that gets pounded in between the spark plug and the head using seafoam or something like it. May want to check it out. How many miles?

    74K................

    Been watching the utube vid's on how too for a while. I trust the fordtechmakuloco the most(of all the posters) and will likely do it like he has. Except the soaking solution. I'll likely use Kriol.

    Update, Putting on the high output Accel coil helped/ Only shutters if I floor it and no more codes. Hoping it gets her through the week until its plug change time....................

    I have not been following this too close... is this an older vehicle?
    74K seems early if it's a fairly late model vehicle.. It may not be the plugs..
    My stuff routinely goes over 100+.

    Its a 2006 F150 my wifey putts(literally) around with. The original plugs were a 2 piece design that were inherent for not lasting, They break on removal and They(techs) say we are lucky to have gotten this far with them.

    Only good thing is my tool stash will grow. I will spend more on the tools to fix than the parts this go round. Considering some charge big $$ to change the plugs, I still won't spend close to the quotes I've seen!! :loco: :crazy:

    Going to be taking a serious look at the F150 Diesel in 2018.

    That, and the Frontier with the Cummins if it ever arrives.

    F150 is the first choice, though. Really like the Aluminum body.

    We're happy with our two week old F150 EcoBoost. It will pull our Travel Trailer with over 5000#'s of capacity left over. If we were going to tow some of those monster 5th wheels, the deisel would be the way to go.

    BTW Last week we were discussing the auto off feature here on the list. The wifey was in the Doctors office and I read the owners manual...turns out there is an on off button on the dash. It needs to be reset each time but, it's conveniently handy when I need to shut it off. Like pulling out onto a highway just down from a hill or a curve.

    The pear trees will drop their leaves and the fruit will spoil, they also need to be picked to ripen at least two kinds of ours do. The Asian pears drop off and the yellow jackets go bonkers.

    We did 6 pints of brandy honey and 6 quarts of apple juice/sugar pear halves today I am about pear'd out and thus ended my canning season for 2017, we still have pears, I think they will become sauce for the freezer.

    What is the purpose (and all the ho-ha) of an aluminum body. to save a couple hundred pounds to brag about a bigger payload? and up the cost of the vehicle along the way. perhaps an F250 instead for about the same$ might be a better option, and then you would really up the payload!

    or better yet..........a DuraMax! :thumbs::thumbs:
