Well the power came back between 11:00 AM and 12;30 PM today it went out at 3:03 AM Monday. This was the first time due to a storm and the longest since we moved in back in December of 2007.

ETC: Corrected the start day to read Monday, brain drop out said Sunday.

Exactly why I don't let my 6 cats out. No matter how hard they beg or attempt to sneak, (just one of them) outside is off limits. I have way too much effort, love and money tied up in them for they to become dinner to some wild animal. My cats have no clue that they can be the hunted instead of the hunter.

We got ours back today. Power outages are getting way too common now. I lived here for 30 yrs with only limited concerns for outages. That goodness I have a generator. We were able to run it that whole time on less than 5 gallons of gas. Only had the basics running. Hate being without power. Would like to go to one of those automatic ones that uses the propane. $$$.. I also had a power back up for my Bipap breathing machine. Works good, but only have enough power for two nights.

Just checking in....lost power about 3am Monday and got it back late last night but still no cable or internet so I need to peek in while at work...

Sunday night was crazy with the wind. I woke up around 1 am from the sound of the wind through the open bedroom window, heard something hit the bird feeder and then a really loud CRACK. Waited for the thud on the house but it didn't happen so I got up, shut the window and went back to sleep. Big tree came down right behind the house but in the woods. No real issues other than power and for now no TV, Internet or home phone. Gonna s*ck for World Series game tonight

That is the one thing I really miss about the previous place. 12KW ran the whole house, including the big 20K btu a/c unit in summer. Looked into a small whole house for this place, but after installing the central a/c this past spring, I'm done with big $$ investments.....never get it back if/when I sell.

I loved looking out the front windows over the valley & seeing total black, and I was watching TV.

I was without power for about 16 hours which was the longest I have had in a longtime. Being on the same circuit as the Police, Fire and Fish hatchery has its benefits.......

Still a lot of people at work without power today. Son #2 probably won't get his back before Friday, if then. More people lost power from this storm than the ice storm in '97, just under 500,000 I believe.
