I saw the sun but I sure couldn't feel it lol. The first day was good, just had to vacuum a stove out to get it working again haha, typical case. We also went around to a bunch of property management companies and fireplace stores dropping of cards and saying hello. It'll grow, just going to take a minute.

Well me an my helper which I brought with me from my previous employer. The owner of this business is basically going to let us run it aside from her taking care of the accounting aspects of it etc. After 2 years we will both have the option to become part owners and keep part of the business profits on top of our wages.

Yeah it's -18 here too, brrrrrr. Currently don't have running water in the shower or toilet but got it up and running in the kitchen sink and bathroom sink. Bathroom door is shut with a heater CRANKING away and all faucets are open. Sucks. The previous owner "remodeled" the house but they didn't bother to use any sheathing of any form before they put the new siding on, instead they just put nailers in between the wall studs. I gots me some projects for next summer!

Usually we are fine but when it's ten degrees below 0 for two days things start to freeze up.

It's happened before, although unpleasant everything seems to thaw out just fine and not burst as long as the faucets are left cracked open. We made it longer through colder than this last winter. The pipes were actually all frozen for 4 solid days so hopefully we'll be ok this time too.

Yeah unfortunately the plumbing, electricity, bedroom, bathroom and laundry closet were all "afterthoughts" in this spectacular 1967 vacation home lol. That's how the plumbing ended up where it is. Even the crawlspace is bare bones with just the main water supply line coming in so thank god they didn't run all the plumbing through there! I've only owned it for about a year and a half so it's a one thing at a time thing. Last winter was pretty bad and it only happened once.

I'm making decent money now so I may do a few things and buy a new house in a couple years and rent this one out, secured the loan at $12 an hour and got a 4% interest rate so it may be doable.
