X2 No smoker but have quit other things....stay the course as best you can Jay. The destination is worth it.

 

We do, that someone else is none other than, smoke show.

 

Being the youngest of four boys, I'm used to that.

 

Jay best of luck with giving up the smokes. I need to do the same, as my health is a mess. I have tried cold turkey, and a vaporizer, but I think I may give the cold turkey a go again. Cant stand the thought of paying someone for a trip to the grave early, so I need to make it happen also jay. Weather has been beautiful, no fires for the past 4 days, but that will change as the cold air is moving in again. Larry I hope you and your wife get to feeling better, I am headed to the doc tomorrow, I have a nasty sinus infection, My head feels like a damm balloon today lol!

 

Retirement has been keeping me slightly busy over the holidays. Upgraded the battery back-up system so I have a additional plug-in for the on-going furnace installation & a hallway light to boot. Installed my first section of Selkirk DTM venting through the wall. Slowly getting the job done...... Whoever is sick during the holidays, take care of yourselves with R&R. Whoever is thirsty, stay thirsty. Whoever is working, don't over do it. Whoever is trying to stop smoking, it can be done(30 years+)

 

I wish you well with your efforts to stop smoking. Nothing but poison and so addicting.
Going to the Md is a wise thing. If I don't stop wheezing, Ill be at my Md also. He usually puts me on steroids which crank me up.

Is the missus still feeling better? I really hope so.

 

Missus is feeling a bit better. She isn't eating much, but also not active. She has a post operative appointments scheduled for this week.
She had aches and pains, but not the head and chest cold as I am having. Very poor endurance. Not so easy to shake these bugs as it was when we were younger.

 

Ya best of luck Jay. As someone who smoked heavy for decades and quit 6 years ago I can only say its the toughest thing I've ever done. I relied on Chantex and it was the only way I could have done it. I will also say I am glad every day I did. Do what ever you have to do to quit and hope you have some folks close to you to help.

Savemoney hoping that you and the missus begin the mending process soon too !!! Get to the sawbones and get a little something !

The stove was off for a few days here, did start it up late last night as temps dipped into the upper 20's

 

Will I am with you, but the forecast is looking cold again here. I have not been burning, but I just went and looked at the thermostat and it is 69 with a little electric heater running, so It is time to fire the ole stove. I was just looking at the forecast, and 30 during the day, and teens at night

It is looking like I might be able to go from the house to the chicken coop without wearing my ice walking gear soon. They have been used the last 32 days.

Got rid of some stuff at Goodwill yesterday.

The boss got herself some new blouses at Reny's, she was looking for some prior to Christmas but the store just didn't have any she would buy.

Paid the health insurance bill this morning and tried to access our PCP information but that system is sort of out of steam this morning. Maybe later, just wanted to make sure that uncle or the insurance company didn't mess that up yet again.

 

I need to do the same thing ,go through the closet and dresser and get rid of clothes that I haven't worn in a year or so.
