When I calculated that point, it was 11 years for me. ANYTHING can happen in 11 years, so I decided to take it early. A bird in the hand is worth......oh, you know the rest.

I could not agree more imacman , ANYTHING can happen in a few years, life is so short.
artc , please go for it if you can, my father is not in best health and working full time at age 75 to support their "lifestyle". HORSEPUCKY, I'd :heidi::heidi: if I could on him, but he is what he is.

One other concern may be healthcare, there are some crazy rules about taking Medicare after retiring, maybe others can chime in.... Like if you do not take it (maybe your less than $16.8K job has great employer paid health insurance) there can be a waiting period to get it back if you get sick and cannot work anymore (2 years?). Or, if you do take it do you need and advantage plan/Rx bene's plan ontop of medicare or a full blown medicare supplement package. None of it's cheap so take a peek at it.

I was out pedaling on 2 wheels after work last night when the skies opened up. Sun was out when I left the house for about an hour ride but that ride turned into about 25-30 minutes and I returned liked a drenched rat. :singingintherain: A few thunder claps but not much and didnt sound like those were overhead.

The old vented/non waterproof hiking shoes I use for knocking around the yard and for biking are still soaked

I hate soggy shoes. My boat shoes are still trying to dry out on the deck from last Fridays soggy fishing trip. Might have to launder them, I'm sure they smell wonderful now!!

I put my shoes in front of a fan before leaving for work. A hot/sunny day would have done the trick real fast, but they will never dry on their own in this weather.

Last time I had soggy feet out on the water. There wasn't a boat within smelling distance from us. If they got close enough. They high tailed it rather quickly!!

Hi STB they are doing well :) Dogs are fine with them and even Lila wildcat has not shown much interest in them thankfully. They are both potty trained now (wood pellets litter) for urine, but I need to MacGyver the cage this weekend so the poops arent scattered all over the floor every morning LOL !

Oh, and they had fleas when we got them, I treated every animal in the house and have not seen any since then.
