Been putzin at the honey do list. Cellar stairs have issues from all the pellet haulin traffic, They popped outta place and were falling between the stringers. Took an old scissor jack and propped em up for now. Popped right back in place. Need to get some supplies to give em a full hold up my fat can and a bag of pellets too make over!! I'll add a lil extra bracing so they can handle a hippo's weight!!

scissor jack will prolly be there 5 years from now. didn't get a-round-to-it!

we re-built a storage shed at the museum about 5 years ago 32 X 40 with a second floor storage area. used the original telephone pole posts (mistake, but we were kinda forced into it). well, the center post sank a little more than 2" with the weight of all the spare tires we put up there.
I bought one of those temporary posts with the screw jack - 3 years ago - and jacked it back into place - temporarily

I have one of those post-screw jack in the wall between the basement and the garage (house built in 1960 and walls were original). Guess it is holding up the hallway to the bedrooms, over which they places a humongous air handler. I left it there when I put in new insulation and sheetrock. Figured it's done a good job so far, no reason to mess with it.

Moved a pallet of pellets onto the shed today. It was loaded with black ants. And 3 bags were lost to water, fork truck kill.

Now enjoying one of these, found in the back of the beer fridge. Tis the season!

I like that thinking IHP! It's been a few years since we've had a 'normal' Spring - we can use a good one here.

I might have another squirreled away! I'll just drink two.

Well, the best course of action right now is to rid the homes of White Xmas so there IS NO chance of snow :D
