No way to tell how much we got here. To much drifting. Some spots had nill and others had feet. Sn*wblower got a workout!! Started missing low forward(1 and 2) and had to finish in medium. Looks like it might be time for new?? Take a better look at it once it warms. At least it finished and only needed to shovel the odd spots it can't get. Also stuck in reverse a time or too and took some fiddling to get it to go forward again. She's old and besides some carb work. Haven't fiddled with it much besides oil changes. Don't think its the friction roller. Might be the slider getting hung up. Thats another day.

Was going to head in late, But took so long and I'm pooped. So I guess its burn another day. Can't use vaca days for late entries anyway. So I would have got points if I went in late. Used all the personal time with these doctor visits. Hope da boss man understands?? O well. Nappy time after a nibble. Then brewskis!! ;)

    Yeah, Snow still sucks! :p

Soooo, the word from our Internet/Cable/Phone provider is that they had a major network damage causing loss of service and loss of call center to all of the Belmont NH service towns-approx 22 towns.

slvrblkk , does this sound like fun?

    1:15 PM Storm Damage Update
MetroCast continues repair to damaged network facilities affecting customers in our Belmont, NH service area.

Due to storm conditions and resulting damage, MetroCast was given limited access to the affected sites until trees, downed poles and wires could be cleared by other affected parties and safe access could be provided to MetroCast crews. MetroCast has subsequently gained access to the site and we are now in the process of fiber splicing which is necessary to restore services. We will provide future updates this afternoon as work progresses, and we thank you for your patience and understanding in the meantime.

Those poor construction/plant guys, that sucks working in those conditions but the fiber guys work in a nice environment so I never feel too bad for them...lol

We escaped any type of major problems with this storm (thankfully). Someone took out a pole, close to my office yesterday very early morning BUT it wasn't related to the storm...probably was drunk lol

Ironically though, most of my generators ran yesterday. What was was weird was they only ran for maybe 20 minutes and not at the same time. Almost seemed like power company was rolling power yesterday. I was sweating bullets at first when one would start and shutdown, then the next one. I was like WTF.

Now snow removal was a different story but I'll keep my comments to myself about that...lol

Mother nature sure made them hardy. What we don't know, is how many of them actually fall victim to these horrible storms, starvation, or predators. I have a thick hemlock hedge fairly near that many of them hide in. We also get a ton of yellow finches. They haven't turned all yellow yet, but they are here in numbers. I have a lot of feeders going a any one time. Fussy birds seem to ignore the mixed bird seed. They all prefer the sunflower seeds. The finches will go for the sunflower seed and the thistle seed. I get sunflowers popping up all over the place in the spring. Some of my best sunflowers were planted by the birds and squirrels. I try to let them all grow. What a display they make.

Looked like a couple of feet here. Neighbor just got a Kubota tractor w/ a 50" snowblower.
He's ill, so i usually do both drives, but now he can do the tractor bits and i get in with the 10hp toro in the tight spots.

This storm was worse than the last one, and the snow wasn't as fluffy.
The berm from the town plow would have been a pain w/o the Kubota.

Hope all you folks are doing well.

And hope you are doing well also. I don't know how others feels for sure, but I am ready for this winter to be over. I've had enough cold and snow to last me for a long time. I am mostly house bound in the winter. Really want to get outside and play in the dirt. So far, I just dabble in some dirt in the sunporch I like to see somethings grow and give some color. One of my wintered over geraniums is getting ready to bloom.
