B, shoveling that must have been a royal PITA. I shoveled only the front stairs (wood) and back path to the bird feeders. There was only a few inches but it felt as heavy as an inch of steel.

This chit is where the track style snow blower really shines. It locks into 2 different downward angles and wont ride up over frozen stuff as easily as wheeled version. This way I was able to cut through much of the frozen stuff on the driveway and the berm at the bottom. It didnt get down to pavement but it broke though pretty well.

I see both large 4WD and small cars that think they can drive in the snow, but its usually the big SUV's.
The people that feel the need to pull out in front of you and then go 5-10 MPH below the speed limit on dry pavement.....:hair:

I'll remember that if I ever have to replace this snow blower. It is a Craftsman that came with the house, not sure but it is probably 10 years old (or older). It actually does pretty well, starts easily on the first pull every time, and is just the right size and weight for me to handle (or manhandle if needed).

Tracks really help on the hills as well. Although if frozen solid or iced it obviously wont help but the rained on then frozen granular sleet we had yesterday was solid enough on the surface to walk on but was still just soft enough underneath to be broken through

Not as bad as expected this AM. Threw a lil step saver down on the walk. Car was clear and the roads were decent. A couple a stop signs were crusty'd up. But a non eventful ride in.

Driving on our roads shouldn't be like paying Russian roulette. We have our kids, our future in our cars, how dare someone risk those lives for their own greed and disrespect for safety on the road. I am not at all opposed to better surveillance and monitoring of our roads. Once people realize they aren't going to get away with their reckless behaviors, driving will become much safer. I'm 70 yrs old, never got a ticket for a driving infraction, but have received a couple warnings. It is too easy to be distracted while driving.

Soon enough we will all be along for the ride via autonomous vehicles.

At my age, I won't have to be worried about it. If it does happen, I hope it proves itself first.

Some say within ten years it should be fairly common.

I for one am hoping it happens, they are 100% autonomous, and safe. The distracted human driver is getting worse everyday due to the cell phone. Never mind the lack of courtesy and total disregard for the laws of the road.

Most folks don't drive well in the winter here in NE. Some of us are pretty good, but we are at the mercy of those you dont.

Mine most always get delivered, just not delivered in the promised time frame. USPS puts untruths on the delivery reposts. Must be so the sender is satisfied.

Untruths = lies I call them on that in emails to all effected parties, I like keeping every affected party up to speed...

This package should have been here on Wednesday the 11th but was bounced around between the Gorham and Standish post offices, the first delivery was attempted on the 12th box wouldn't fit in the mail box it ended up in Gorham. The package went out for delivery again on the 13 th still wouldn't fit in the mailbox it was taken to Standish and a notice was left as to where it was. Meanwhile the tracking system said they would deliver it the next business day which was either the 14 Saturday a Postal delivery day or Tuesday the day after MLK day. Take your pick the package stayed at the Standish PO witch has no carriers. Will you folks get away from the USPS seems it gets screwed up. The PO has instructions as to where they leave packages for us. I was home every time this and other packages that didn't make it. Subs normally foul it up.

Couldn't let Jenna think I was faulting them so added this...

    Jenna,

I didn't have an issue with you folks at esestoves anytime USPS gets involved things tend to go to hell in a hand basket, that is always the case when subs are on. One never knows where it will end up. It helps when a box will fit in the mailbox. I would have gone a different way normally. But I got more than one item through Amazon that day.

    Cheers,
    David

I'm only 10 minutes north of route 2 problem is my company truck is only 2 wheel drive. During rush hours if you can avoid route 2 do so at all cost, it really does suck and I can't for the life of me figure out where all these people are traveling to further out west ?

I bought the Honda 928 when it was about 1500.00. Now its almost 3K

I have an intermittent leak of hydraulic fluid. Not alot and it doesnt do it all the time. I thought, this is 12 years old maybe I will price out another one just in case its the pump. :bug:

Needless to say, i just top off the reservoir when needed and I will check it out better in the warmer weather. I think it might be a seal somewhere that seals itself up after sitting all summer because it did it early in the season and that was it. I havnt had to top off the reservoir in a while now, but I check it before each use.

The constant use of cell phones now is especially dangerous, especially to those on 2 wheels. People dont see bikes as it is, and texting is making that so much worse now. Its just as bad for all other drivers, but there are no fender benders with bikes.
