I think they were eyeing up the bird feeder , but Maggie's barking kept them at a distance , the forest here is mostly chestnut oak so plenty of acorns to eat and they looked fat and healthy to me .

Actually there was three, but I'm only concerned with the USPS ones at this time, the UPS should be coming via slow train until NJ the San Pablo location is the UPS train depot location. This one might get interesting. At least it appears to be doing something other than bouncing around out there in CA now.

Earlier today CleanFire visited. We made a swap - he got a bunch of pellet stove exhaust ducting and I got pellets . He also brought me a Christmas present; a big bottle of Tropical Punch Vodka (mmm, mmm, mm - just broke into it and it goes down way too easy ). Then he helped me move my new bathroom counter from the basement to the main floor and got it installed. He got the "old" counter (new and never hooked up to plumbing, just didn't fit the space in a way I that I liked and couldn't return it). That isn't so much payment for labor but got it out of my way and put something on his honey-do list :D

    • First picture is of the "old" counter. If you look at the shadows you can see it is about 7" shy of touching the wall with the switch on it. It was exactly the size of the vanity and bank of drawers at 48.5".
    • Pics 2 &3: The new counter is 55.5" and covers a gap on the sink side (created so that opening the door to the cabinet doesn't hit the wall corner) and the gap on the hutch side. To me it looks much better.
    • Pic 4: Pellets that CleanFire brought
    • Pic 5: VODKA!!! :drunk:

I would have preferred the Pinnacle pellets, to the Pinnacle vodka...
    (not much of a drinker)

Well, I haven't been a drinker of any sort for a year (since I started working 2 jobs - well, I think I've had 2 drinks in all that time), but figured it was a special day, so cracked it open. I am super grateful it he remembered that I was a vodka drinker so he didn't bring beer (sacrilege I know, but I can't stand the stuff).

I should be a little more specific, so as to not appear to be a drink snob...
I "do" enjoy a beer, or maybe wine with a pizza, or sausage sub....
But I have not had a mixed drink in maybe 40+ years...
Like you with beer, I just do not like it..
And yes.. it was a special occasion... you did right!

Betsy is more than welcome - so nice of her to lend her husband out :salute:! I was happy I had stuff you could use - certainly didn't cost me any more to give it to you than if I let it kick around the house for another year, or 5 :faint:

There is your mistake - you think I mix it with something   . Okay, I'll admit the second shot was mixed with seltzer water (how I normally drink vodka), the first I just sipped like it was a cordial. Actually surprised I had seltzer water in the fridge - and it hadn't been opened so still had its fizz.

Cleaned the Fahrenheit furnace and posted a video of the LBT on the dedicated thread. Burning the new Lauzon Force pellets as promised.

    Too early to tell.
Had a temp of 172*F before shutdown on a mix of a variety of fuels on the distribution air takeoff.

You got to be happy with that temp. ivanhoe, with the amount of air that moves through that monster ! (?) *Our FHA furnace pushes 165 F out the registers, for comparison.
