I do not have medical training, but could another pain reliever help, like annaprox or rx ibu?

No difference between RX ibuprofen or annaprox and over the counter. Advil and Aleve or the generics are the same thing. I have asked the pharmacists several times when a dentist has given me RX for these and always have been told its the same.

But yes, I also think these might help.

I might have guessed, those were prescriptions I was given in the 1980's. Thanks for letting me know.

You can get a 200 count bottle of annaprox (naproxin) at BJ's for about 10 bucks now.

bogieb , I just got some cool window coverings too, saw an online clearance sale at JCPenny! Atleast the technology is new to me and I am quite pleased. Mine are within reach, "Cordless". I treid to do the whole house but they were selling out as I was trying to pay online. Either way, cool!

That's OK Gino - I'll just keep turning left.

Had to get the Everstart Plus battery, no Maxx's to be found in the area, specs are the same as the Interstate battery currently in the vehicle. Has a build date of 01/17, can't get much newer than that. Came to $92 and change when all was said-and-done.

Traded in a spare dead core I had, and it's a good thing I did - got the car in the service bay @ work, went to remove the hold-down bolt, the cheapo spring clip on the underside of the battery tray is rounded. :headbang: Said WTH, put more torque on it, and was rewarded with a busted, filleted knuckle. :( Stopped bleeding about 20 mins. later. Wrapped a paper towel around it, secured it w/ some scotch tape, and got to work on IT stuff.

Gonna try the impact wrench here in the morning to spin it off, after spraying it down with PB Blaster. If nothing else - it'll sound like a playing card on a bicycle wheel when it spins. I need a beer.

I have never seen them that reasonable. I'll keep an eye open. Had I seen them for that price, I would buy a few for the freezer. So much that can be done with turkey meat.
yes, she is taking those, plus something else a bit stronger, but only 7 days worth of the last one. I have been through a lot of things with her that cause pain. Like having a knee replacements three times, and abdominal hernia repair twice. I don't want her to become hooked on meds for something that is going to take a long time to heal. There are many other interventions for this type of problem and pain. Her pain is when she moves. I'll get her to another specialist if the pain doesn't start getting better. sees the MD again on Tuesday.

I had originally thought I was going to go with those type of cordless shades with the big bay window. Figured they would insulate pretty well. It was that "in reach" thing that bugged me. And then if you get motorized ones, the price really goes up. I bet you will love those shades!

5* here, but only and inch or two of snow. I'll have to go out later and sweep it off the driveway. Swept the back porch and ramp late last night.

Everything hurts more in this cold which is why I dont do my own work anymore at this time of year. If it isnt at least 40 degrees and sunny I pay someone else to do it. Hopefully the bay at work was heated-but when heated the blood flows easier :p :headbang:

PB Blaster works great but I am trying to picture the spring clip. Are you saying the bolt on the hold down clamp at the base of the battery is rounded? If so, that sux and you might want one if these

They must have been overstock and had to get rid of them by the date. With a use by date of Jan 7 and packaged as fresh they couldnt freeze them (but we can) so they were marked down to .49/lb. I only grabbed the one since I wasnt sure I would use it right away and would likely freeze it. I already have 2 whole Fresh Butterballs in the freezer that I bought the same way for same price a few weeks ago. This one wasnt Butterball but is is still a good brand-Shadybrook. The sn*w kept me home yesterday so it was cooking time :)

I always check the Fresh Turkey section at Hannaford. Once in a while you hit the jackpot for one or two. Very rarely do they have 8-10 like they did Friday night.

Only 2-3 inches to clean up here but I am waiting for it to warm up to at least 10 degrees :shiver:

It didnt pile up but it was the fine snow that greases up the roadways real fast. It was also too cold for the crews to treat the roads so driving was worse than prople might have thought.

Slick is sitting and staring at me-means he wants to either eat or go out. Since he ate, we wants out. Sun through the window feels warm to him and he thinks its warm out there too....not

Hmmmm, wonder of the backpack leaf blower is here or at my honey's place-in this cold 2 inches of sn*w is light and that would likely clear the driveway real quick today. Dont know if it is in the shed, but if so I should have thought of this yesterday and brought it in to the warm cellar.

Hey G, thanks for the pointer. It's got one of these bad boys on the underside of the plastic battery tray: this car is littered with them, almost every bolt point on the front end consists of 'Self Retaining Speed Nuts' aka "spring clips". :picard: It's spinning around in there like Dorothy Hamill on ice skates .. :D

It's way too early for Beer here - knuckle is throbbing, it's freaking cold outside. :pete:

Yeah, this snow packed down to be pretty slippery on the side roads.

Saving grace was there was zero wind. Didn't really feel like single digits around here.

Ohhhhh, those things. I havnt seen one in quite a while-thankfully!!

If you can get to it, I use to use a screwdriver or something to pry up while turning. Usually if applying upward pressure you can hopefully catch a good or decent thread. Generally once you catch one it's OK. Other times it might mean ripping it out or cutting with a Dremel.

Good luck and watch the knuckles !!

I'm gonna try G - I have to, the bolt is stuck at 1/2" undone.. The old battery is now loose in the tray.

If no joy, I'll get the Dremel out w/ cutting disc, cut the bolt off, and proceed to disassemble half the vehicle to remove the battery tray.. I'm gonna have to remove it to repair, in any case. :picard:
