Dammit...just realized that I forgot to pay my mortgage early enough to get the interest in 2016 for taxes. It was scheduled for the 31st but since that is a weekend, it doesnt process until the next business day, which is Jan 2.

Had a nice Meal at Peppercorns in Worcester, MA last night. Lobster ravioli with chicken breast. Pretty delicious, always good food there.
Here's to hoping my yard melts a little bit so I can do some LBT's tomorrow. It's all ice at the moment.

Made me chuckle, I have six cats and do all the cat duty so I can relate to that likeness. :hair:

do you do your own, or have them done...
If you do your own.... come on... just do it like it was on time.
If you have "always" done 12 months, then there is nothing unusual..
Nothing to send up a flag.

If you have it done, then that is different..

Well, 2017 is starting off well so far. 58* outside in the sun, 45* in the shade. Getting a bunch of solar gain, heat-wise in the shack.....71* inside and heater hasn't run in a while.
I know some cold is coming, but for Jan 1, I'll take it!!!

I have eaten there when I was in 'Woostah' a long time ago when I was an engineer. Good food. Starting to ice up here again after a week of thaw. Snowing now... maybe Portland (Oregon) traffic will come to a screeching halt again if the snow goes that low again. Supposed to be in the teens here all this coming week.

Reason I am posting here... pellets are up a tad here this year. Still in the low $200s for a ton though, around $219-229 plus delivery. Only DF pellets here, no one makes hardwood pellets here except for BBQ. Whats the average price for DF pellets back east this year?

I was at Lowe's yesterday and figured I'd see what they had for pellets. You can score a ton of Michigan Wood pellets for $5.29/bag.

    Umm, no thanks.

Hope everyone is having a happy and safe new years.

So its still the west coast pellet price plus $100 in the NE. Few pellet stoves here and NG is so cheap. This winter is cold here though. We are in for the 3rd Polar Vortex coming this week.

Lowes brand X pellets are $5.19. Coastal F&R has Bear Mountain premium DF for $5.79 a bag. HD is pushing some crappy hardwood pellets here for $5.19 a bag (HD and Lowes have to match the cheapest price). I did not think that anyone here sold hardwood pellets, but I guess the national stores haul them in here now. Several other stores here have local softwood bags for about $5.50 each.

subsailor you got me thinking. That new car wash in Augusta, Fast Fredies, also has a months offer. Not as reasonable as the one you got, but still Ok. I signed up today for their $30/month package that includes extra rust protection, and I get a "token" for use of their vac. I can go for a car wash once a day all month. They had three workers on today who gave my car a good soaping up before I even went into the automated area. Thanks for bringing the subject up. Might help me keep my van a bit longer. I might even do better keeping it clean!

Gotta watch for those pesky moths, especially if you store wool sweaters and coats in your car.
