Congrats Steve - I got to listen to the wife and daughters scream w/ joy at the TV watching the Giants game, while putting vinyl on the outside window today. :picard:

Was supposed to visit bogieb today, driveway & roads were a skating rink this am. Spent nine hours outside today cleaning up, I feel like Kroosers truck right now. Betsy baked, the daughters did come out and help for a bit. Then they bailed, and built a snowman. Before the game.

I moved waaaay too much snow today. Time to get a new 2-stage sn!wblower, I hauled the old non-working sn!wblower, the leaf muncher, and lawnmower down to the town dump this afternoon. I've decided today no more fixing 20+ year old stuff. that's gonna just break down each season.

The single-stage snowblower is working well though, sn!w was just to heavy for it today. Gave it a rest and shoveled, didn't want to break it / saving it for the white fluffy chit. Which should be like in a few days, if the pattern holds for this season. :picard:

Time for some ibuprofen, a Beer, and sleep.. Have a great evening all, be careful outside - it's getting icy here too.

Cleaned the stove and inspected my exhaust blower swap from last week. It still works!

Dreaming of that new freestanding stove. Thinking about some sort of raised "hearth" type thing for the corner it would go in. Perhaps some sort of brick mounted to the wall with a mantel area above it. I see some google image searches for inspiration in my future.

Won't happen until after the kitchen is done(per wife contractual agreement).

We set up a table top tree. Looks fine, and I don't have to move the heavy wood end table it sits on. I have a large collection of small pewter hanging picture frames of different sized and themes. I have a family member's picture in each. Includes the departed grandparents and parents as well as all the kids and grandkids. I call this our "family" Christmas Tree. Tree is topped with an Angel.

Me too.....run it when it's full....about once a week, since it's a full size unit. Cheaper than doing it every night, or even every 3 days for me.

They clinched the division and 1st round bye. They need a Raiders loss or one more win for the #1 seed

What a mess. Got a bunch of sand to throw down on the melted remains after snowblowing.
I'm glad i cleared the relevant section of roof and the shed roof yesterday.

When it warms up for just one day only to return to zero degrees, it's hard not to think it's doing just for its own amusement. :/

I like the piece of wood that props up the end of the vent, at least that's what it looks like.
