Didn't work for me either. But what did was one of these community solar project deals. Should save us about $40 a month, no commitment.

Out here people are leasing wind tubines. Similar to STB, the rate of return is low or negative. I could see solar helping out with so much sun here, but the initial investment and then how to keep the wind from turning them into projectiles is another story.

Much easier. I could just use a block of wood and mallet to bend it further in so it's not touching the sidewall. If I had bent it out, I would have had to take that sucker apart - and I've mentioned before that I am much better at demolition / deconstruction than reconstruction :hair:

Here it is an hour later and the temp is 42. Supposed to drop quite drastically tonight - to the single digits. We have a gale warning, but being in the valley I won't get it as bad as those up on the hills.

Wind abated a bit so brushed down the P61a, cleaned the igniter area and emptied the ash pan. Then I emptied out both shop vac (mostly drywall dust, saw dust, cat hair and cat litter).

My F350's coolant is only set for 0F... forgot about that until today... and it won't start (I asked my son in law to start it and warm it up during last week while I was on the road... I think he flooded it!). I have an electric heater under the hood now, the battery is is the shop with the pellet burner warming it up and the engine is covered with two comforters. :MM:

The warm air finally made it here in a big way about 2 hours ago. Temps suddenly shot up 15 degrees so outside I went to scrape the ice off the driveway. All gone now and the wind is picking up from the cold front and temps are dropping already. No roof raking though, that is melting off pretty good and suppose to warm up to 40 mid week.

P68 got a cleaning of the firebox, empty of the ash pan, scrape the burn pot and clean igniter area. Good for quite a while again now and ready for the arctic air coming back in.

He likely paid Grizzly Adam to do it!!

Temps hit 50 and melted the snow off the roof. Had company and went out to help load their cars for them. Nearly fell on my can. Wind has things freezing quick like. More salt and sand spread. Will likely need to spread more in the AM too......

Ate like a porker and need a nap now!! :emb:

Had to replace the hot water heater expansion tank today. Bought enough stuff at HD for plans A, B, and C. Plan A worked for once and returned what I didn't use.

Woohoo!!!!! We're going to the playoffs!!!! Some of you may or may not know I'm a huge Oakland Raider fan. For the past 20 years you can catch me in front of the tv every Sunday and for the past 15 years I've watched some really bad football week in and week out. This is like a bonus for me this year cuz I never thought they'd make the playoffs....hell I was hoping they would just finish 9-7......sorry, I'm pretty stoked right now!!! #JustWinBaby !!!
