Funny story - ambulance crew asked me if I had funny vision. My reply was that my vision is always funny as it is normally distorted and fuzzy. They then amended their question to whether it was any different than usual :D

Had a headache and sinus pressure since the fall - but has pretty much cleared up tonight. I'm no longer feeling qute as "off" - maybe just a little, but definitely better!

Slipped on a wet floor - had just been waxed over Thanksgiving weekend and knew that it was slicker than I was used to - just forgot I had already hit that area with the mop

Got the P61a cleaned. Put up shrink wrap plastic over the back door (It is almost all window and older, so the window frame noticeably leaks air when it's cold), did the dump run late in the afternoon, grabbed a couple gallons of hi-test gas to fill up the bike's tank so it is full (the dealer is picking it up Friday), did a bunch of easy domestic chores, watched stuff I had DVR'ed during the week. Not as productive a day as I had planned, but got essential stuff done, didn't overdue it and took it as easy as I could stand to.

Tomorrow gotta bring the blower down to the garage and get ready for da chit Sunday night.

Oh yeah, I went to TSC and bought a 50# bag of sunflower seed bird food. While there I picked up two bags of pellets to mix with the Infernos for this cold snap (running in the P61a). So picked up all those bags three times (place in cart, place in truck, haul into house), plus the two bags of PTL's I hauled upstairs for the P43 to digest tonight. So I did do a little physical activity - but nothing compared to what I had planned on doing before my little mishap. I'm trying to be good - honest!

I can get Vermont's, but won't because of how many gold bars I would have to part with for just 1 bag :emptywallet::emptywallet::emptywallet:.

Those should roast up nice and hot with little ash - assuming they are anything like the 4 bags I got a couple of years ago (I must have gotten my tax return or something to spring for them :makeitrain")

So I was just over looking at natural remedies/support for concussions. Let me preface that by stating that today I have been eating lots of protein (eggs, chicken) along with grass-fed butter, cinnamon and maple syrup. And regularly, I take supplements; fish oil / flax seed gelcap along with Vitamin D and a B complex.

Happy to report that in already taking the fish/flax oils, B-complex and D vits the concussion is likely milder, and effects may last for a shorter period than if I were not taking them. Keeping up with taking those should help the recovery also. Additionally, Vitamin C, up to 3,000 mg si recommended and since I have some in the cupboard, I took 1,000 a little while ago.

Proteins are recommended for recovery also (especially eggs, but also lean meats). And, of course avoidance of processed sugar (maple syrup as the substitute to use was specifically mentioned). Only thing that kinda ticks me off is that I was told not to eat or drink anything because it might make me nauseous - when many sources claim that making protein available to the brain as quickly after the injury as possible may speed healing (Livestrong and the Andrews Institute Orthepeadic and Sports Medicine sites were among the places I used for research).

Well, at least my instincts and general half-azzed knowledge were pretty good. I have not had any carbs (except maple syrup) since I'm pretty sure that would help inflame things. Should have listened to myself more though - I thought about peanut butter and celery for a snack earlier this afternoon, but passed on eating just because I wasn't hungry. Turns out vegies and nuts (including peanuts) are at the top of the list for healing foods too.
