Pellet stove ran 14 hours today in the chilly wind. Got home to 69f set on low... Couldn't be happier with it aside from it needs cleaning a lot. That's all good though I don't mind it at all. Fired up the wood stove shut off the pellet and we are now at 71f! :D

Stopped on the way home to pick up a snow brush for the truck. Not sure where I put the one I had last year. Picked up 10 bags of AWF hardwoods. Didn't really need them, but I figure that's 10 more bags I don't have to burn out of the stash in the pole barn.

Might just pick up 10 more tomorrow for the heck of it.

I used Maguiar's spray quick wax first time I ever tried the spray stuff see how long it holds up, I've used their liquid before and liked it . Pic's for proof;)

Stove cleaning day plus the stove was out this morning.

The moral of the story is going to be: Look in the mirror when things don't work, likely the cause is there looking back at you.

    You paying attention Pallet Pete?

The story started back during the summer when I tore the stove apart, cleaned the cobwebs and other assorted ash out of it, then proceeded to install my new auger motor. I took my time and tried to get everything back together and well tightened. I figured I might have to re-tighten a couple of screws or bolts and that maybe I might have to tear a bit of the stove apart to re-tighten the auger. Well after pumping out almost a half ton of pellets this fall it had worked its way loose, hence the flashing #3 on the stoves control panel this morning. I guess I didn't get things attached to well.

Normally that happens when the stove runs out of pellets in the hopper or they get too low to get to the auger or the auger jams or the auger doesn't turn because the guy in the mirror didn't get it on tight enough or in some cases the auger shear pin breaks instead of the jammed pellets, or in some cases the fuel air mixture is off, or the POF thinks the fire is out because it has been on low low for several hours and you haven't cleaned that switch in a couple tons or more.

Keep that mirror handy folks when you want to find the cause of most pellet stove problems.

Oh yeah, the stove is clean and it appears to be running fine again.

Now it is time to raid stashes :vulture:.
