No complaints here. Better than the other option with all the precip here over the past 24 hrs. :)

Well, I bunged up the snowblower on Sunday when I cross threaded the plug after removing to clean it. 53 years old and its my first-oh well time to re tap and going to try one of these back taps. Interesting design and makes sense at keeping metal from chamber. A little pricey but hopefully it saves some grief.

    OLD trick
slather some grease on the tap to catch the crud, then carefully clear the threads with a couple Q tips with grease on them, then a Q tip or 2 dipped in brakekleen to finish up.

    Good luck

Thanks, I also had an old gear head sap just tap it with a normal tap. No grease-dry. Piston TDC and then hit it with a vac.

I will say that after cleaning the plug and running it cross threaded for a minute or 2-it ran smooth a silk compared to before I cleaned it. And yes I thought about leaving it but I know that when I try and clear 2 feet of snow, THAT will be when the plug blows out and shoots across the driveway

Its a task for this weekend and should be fine.

Was hoping to get to ride into work this morning since the temps were supposed to be decent today. Unfortunately it was pouring - I don't mind riding in the rain, but in the pitch dark, for 30 miles with a lot of flood prone areas to go thru (lots of swamps, streams such that I go over/along), I decided not to. Looks like I missed my chance for a last ride before getting it into storage :(.

Really sux on the last ride, but yeah I saw alot of loose asphalt and debris washed out of from holes in the pavement. Some of this wasnt small and could have been rough in the dark.

Here's what I done today instead of measuring kitchen cabinet doors for the princess. I know this is coming:heidi: There won't be any more snow accumulating near the air intake for the furnace and got the LB system somewhat ready for the next big cleaning, just got to modify a elbowed takeoff to blow it away from the house. I ran it on low speed to give a quick brush down to see if the draft is adequate to do a cleaning:yes: Next on the list is a compressed air system gizmo, first I need to patent it:DI will report back when that's done:smoke:

Busy day today. Started leaf blowing, about 30min in the wind picked up and changed direction. Had to stop. But it was good for the LBT. Did both stoves, and boy was the Englander dirty. Al Gore is not happy with the pollution I shot into the air.
Changed the gasket on the Englander. Ran my big genny for an hour to get it ready for winter. Started the snowblower, and it's ready to go.

Was gonna clean the gutters today. About the last thing I need to do besides tinkerin with the sn*w blower. Hit Lowes and HD looking for an attachment for the leaf blower so I could stay grounded. Neither including walmart have any kits in stock?? Sucks livin in the boonies at times. Either drive an hour both ways or have it shipped to store and wait?

Opted for #2 and cracked a brew.
