Good to know, I'm actually doing jery today, welders blanket is doing the trick. It's 40 degrees in the shadow behind the house and I've been at 175 for 3.5 hours...

And ESW customer service is stellar isn't it.

Yeah I call the 800 number, WHEN they actually answer they are very willing to help.
They make lots of accessories for our grill.
Did you get the warming box?

Hey guys, I just wanted to update, I ran a 5 hr smoke on sunday, set temp was 175 with oat at 40. Ran like a champ with the welders blanket. I got the big one at HF and doubled it up.

Thanks a bunch for the advice.

Hey, happy holidays guys. Tonight I am gonna smoke a pork shoulder around 9lbs. Gonna go for 200 degrees overnight and check her in the AM. Going down to 33 degrees, I have my app running bedside with air temp probe alarm set incase she acts up lol.

What pellet brand do you use? I notice my grill auger jams sometimes now and causes the temp to drop. But I always watch now, I stick my hand in and move it around and I hear them drop. I use different kinds but mainly Lumberjack. I notice some are long, and some
Very long. I guess that could jamb the auger, seems like a weak motor to not break up such skinny thin pellets.

Dude, i read this in bed and forgot t reply..... I'm using these right now, I don't recommend them, they suck! High consumption for low heat output and low smoke flavor. I think next year when Costco stocks the Traeger hickories again i might buy a whole pallet.

You would be better off buying Cooking Pellets brand pellets off Amazon in 40 pound bags than those 20 pound Home Depot ones. especially if they suck
CookinPellets are highly regarded as one pf the best pellets available for your pellet grill, Lumberjacks are high up on list as well
    http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...ywords=cookinpellets&rh=i:aps,k:cookinpellets

You could possibly get in on a group buy of Lumberjacks If you are a member of pelletheads.com as I did, came to like $15 per 40 pound bag
