March came in like a lamb and went out like a lion. Super windy the last couple of weeks and lots of heavy overcast with rain/ice and snow. All that combined to make me decide to run the P43 more often, and there were several days I had it on stove temp for the overnight and well into the morning. But, I still used the mini-split the majority of the time for my main floor and I've even had some days that were sunny enough that no heat was used on the main floor for 8 hours or so. The P61a in the basement is still doing its thing while the ground is still frozen.

Usage was 24 bags for the month for a total of 114.5 bags for this heating season.

My issue is when the season first starts and I'm fully loaded I lose all concept of pacing myself like, "It's endless!" Haha. Harkens me back to my college days where I'd eat like a king after payday, and then the few days before next paycheck I'd survive on ramen.

It's April 21st and I've burned a little less than 2.75 tons (record LOW), in the house and the room over the garage. Still have over a ton left and expect to burn no more than 20 bags before shutting down till the end of September. This winter was a GIFT.

Gave both stoves their final cleaning of the season yesterday. Damprid cans put it, air intakes blocked. 127 bags burned for the season.

I think we switched the stat off for good too. Well we hope anyway. Finished cleaning the winta stuff out and swapped to the summer stuff. Bout time as I already mowed like 4 times so far. Did a bit of weed whacking after I set up the charger and did my clean and restring. Weeds were a foot high already.

Opening up the catio for the kitties this morning. They are all in heaven even if the widows remain closed. They should be open by next week going with what the weather peeps say. He come the 80's ready or not!!

removed my P61A board and blew couple years worth of dust off the back.
then sprayed the pots with electronic cleaner and worked the dials back/forth.
can now feel the "bump' of the dial when turning stove off as it gotten too smooth and wasn't sure if it was dead center off past couple months.
few times the stove stayed on when supposed to be off.

My count for the year is at 130.5 bags (2.6 tons). The least I've ever burned.

Most of that was for the basement stove, which has no heat besides the P61a. It was a very mild year temperature wise (only a couple of mornings even got below 0*F) so I was able to use the mini split for the main floor a majority of the time. I didn't even start the basement stove until October 9, 2024 which is pretty late. So, that is probably pretty much the lowest I'll ever get.
