36 bags used for February with a total of 133 used. Lowest total amount to this point in the heating season since I started tracking winter of 2016/17.

Just filled the P43 and realized it is end of month. Since the P61a was filled yesterday, no use waiting to count what I've used.

32 bags were used in March, for a total of 165 for the season. The next closest year was last year at 30 more bags plus use of the mini-split whenever it was above 15 or 20* (and not windy). Last winter was also fairly mild, but February's average temperature was much colder than this one (18* versus 31.5*), so that right there makes the difference

I’d say about 2.5 to 2.75 tons thus far out of the three purchased back in the fall.

    57 bags for March.

    Season total 290 bags.

Switched to HHO for April and May or however long it lasts. Approx. 110 gallons to burn before tank removal.

Just under 300 bags. Speaking of oil tanks, had ours replaced few months ago. Looks like a storage locker..that domestic storage tank to the right is new also. Stone line insulated. No electric. Gets fed from oil furnace and water can stay 130 degrees 7 hrs or so. Saves lots of oil. Still hooked up to hot water baseboards but pellets burned 99% of winter.

That is an interesting looking oil tank - I like it. You'll love that hot water storage tank. At my old house we switched to using one. It not only saved lots of oil, it kept our basement from heating up during the summer since the boiler only had to run 1-2 times per day.

My brother had a bad stretch of luck. During a snowstorm, power outage and surge fried his Harman pellet stove computer. Then 2 weeks later after filling his oil tank, it started leaking. He too now has a Roth double wall tank. Was a very expensive month.

power outage fried our fridge few yrs ago.. Not when power went out, But when power came back on there was a surging sound that wasn't nice then it went out again.. power came back again later.
filed claim with PECO and got 1,000.00 which is the Max..

anyhoo, now when power goes out, we shut the fridge breaker off at the main panel and don't turn back on till power has been back on and stabilized for 30 minutes or so..
can't put a surge protector for the fridge because if it trips for whatever reason and your away from home, vacation whatever, the fridge will stay off forever till it gets reset.

15 bags for April, for a total of 180 so far. Cool and rainy all week so will be continuing usage - just at a low amount. I've burned to the end of June before so am by no means anticipating the end soon. Rather be heating a couple times a day than cooling for 8 hours anyway.

Probably my last report for the 2022/23 season (if not, then mother nature has some 'spaining to do).

I used 4 bags from the stacks in May. I shut down the P61a and emptied the hopper (about 1/2 bag) into the P43 on May 15. Before I went on vacation a couple of weeks ago I added another bag to the P43 (it did run a few times while I was gone). It is supposed to be a cool weekend plus a few days into next week. So it's possible the P43 may run, but I won't have to add to it.

So, that gives me a total of 184 bags this burning season. It was a mild winter and this is the lowest total I've ever had. I totally ran just the pellet stoves for heat - never used the mini split. The previous low was 205 (lst year), but that was also running the mini split for heat during shoulder seasons and also thru a lot of January when it was mild.

Edit: I was looking at / completing my spreadsheet and suddenly noticed a number off by itself that changed when I put in the May numbers. I realized it is my total usage since I started the spreadsheet. Unfortunately, I don't have my first 2 full winters of usage, which were my heaviest use at 5-6 tons each year. That was before I installed basement insulation and raised flooring (and other odds & ends thru the years throughout the house). But since the 2016/2017 season, I've used 1730 bags (34.6 tons)

Used 152 bags of wood pellets. Slightly less than the average of past winters of about 175 bags.
Used about 25 gals of HHO heating oil over two cold spells. Which is 1/2 of the average
of 50 gals. of HHO in past winters.
