I'm at 87 so far. About the same as last year. I used 125 bags last season.

54 bags so far. Have 21 left in basement and hoping to not have to break into the unopened ton in the garage.

Should be able to shut down for the next 4 days with temps above normal.

I used 33 bags for February, for a total of 156 so far this year. I figure approximately 22 of those went thru the P61a (about 3/4 bag/day). So only about 11 bags for the P43. But, I've been using the mini split whenever the temp is over 20* so using less for the main floor than previous years.

9 bags left in the basement so 66 this season. Those 9 will go quickly if the temps dont come up a bit.

May have to pick up 10 or so in order to burn thru end of March. At this point I dont want to open the ton of Matra in the garage-not wasting those on shoulder season.

50+ degrees forecast for Monday so hopefully this is the last real cold. Or not :p

    3 bags total plus =

470 gallons of Juice guzzled and 300 more added to the tank. Approx. $2500 clams give or take. Last fill was $3.54/gallon(or $1056.00).

Hoping it gets us through until mid May.

My last fill was at 3.699/gal

Hoping that gets me well into or thru the summer by using the stove. Probably not though.

Just picked up 15 33lb bags of LG Super Premium to try out. The Super Premium supposed to be the same as LG but smaller bags.

If I recall.. they have less dust /fines..
They used to go through one more step of blowing them before bagging.
Not 100% sure, now.. but they did..

We have used about 2.5 tons of shells so far.....
The last couple days have been much warmer than the past several weeks....Big stove shut off and the little Whitfield is handling the show....

This really cuts back on the fuel usage.
The little stove will use two 5 gallon buckets a day (Soap pails) vs nearly 4 for the big stove
    That's 24 hrs
Our stoves run 24/7 during the cold season.....Late spring will see a more spotty use.....Spot fires in the morning to take off the chill....

This year we have used a bit more shells than in some years past...

Depending on the weather....we may do a 5th haul..... The plant manager said they should be running into March....maybe a bit later.....

The weather is giving us a break FINALLY

Been able to keep the shack warm during the day using only the little Whitfield.

Past couple mornings we have needed a boost from the Big Boy as the inside temps dropped to 65/67 F overnight....33 F outside this morning.

Instead of 4 buckets of shells to go 24 hrs we are at 2 now......Much better ...

Cleaned the little stove yesterday and polished up the drop tube mouth (I carbons up and will tend to drop the shells more to one side instead of on the spreader bar the scatters the materials on the fire evenly "subjective" )

Definitely a colder winter than we have have seen in a few years.

Used about 3 tons since Nov. Have 8 bags of Vermont, 3 tons Wood & Sons and 1.5 tons of the Doug Firs left.

I still find it amazing...all the years burning pellets, all different kinds of winters, and the pellet count was always pretty close to the same.

I think, in my case, my house is so small and so very well insulated, the stove never has to work very hard. Not to mention I am on the coast so my weather is usually moderated by the ocean.
