Nice variety. Haven’t seen those Appalachian hardwoods for years.

Bought 6 ton of Somersets on Tuesday, brought 1 ton home and will pick 3 ton after work today and the other 2 on Friday or Saturday. 3.99/bag at Menard's plus an 11% store credit that makes it 3.55/bag.

I have 2 and 1/3 tons to start (MWP) and two tons reserved for dead winter.

Can't get deals like that around here. But we do have ample supplies. If you wait until mid winter, you might have to settle for more expensive brands.

I just grabbed 3 ton of Wood + Sons pellets. Fairly new mill in Maine. My local dealer showed me some independent lab tests on their softies, look goods, will let you all know when I start to burn.

Few of us on here have the Wood & Sons this season so we’re going to have to compare notes once the burnin begins. Curious, where did you pickup yours?

Cripes, if you’re getting sets at that price don’t bother with the AWFs (or any other for that matter). Me thinks that decision has already been made though, lol.

Your in luck, you have a gravity feeder. Just find where that white pipe terminates and hook up a big bin to it and fill with pellets. Depending on the size of the bin, you may be able to go a month between fillings

If you are hurting from moving the pellets, The issue becomes not to get hurt or antagonize a condition that that is not going to get better. One option is to arrange for transport. I burn MWP but buy them delivered and put in place. I don't have to move them until I get each bag pulled off the stacks. So I paid $239/ton for my pellets with delivery service which included placement in my garage. $15/a ton for that service. Worth every penny to me. I get my from Wood Pellet Warehouse in Jay Maine. Friendly and dependable. My son has offered to got get them for me, but for the $15 bucks delivery fee, I'll save my "favor" for something else that I don't have options for.

I can get them delivered, But would need to hire some kids to drag them in and stack. Nobody near us will do the haul and stack in my neck of the woods.

We will do the 40 LB bags until we can't keep up. Then might do the 20 LB bags if they are available. Not sure I'd trust anyone to stack mine if they were not pellet savy.

Used 13 bags of MWP's for October. That makes 16 for the season.
