I'm hoping Tuesday (or maybe Wednesday morning - I'm getting foggy on days) was my last burn. Took advantage of the low humidity yesterday afternoon to once again plug up the exhaust to the P43 (3rd time is a charm, right?). I did resort to all but emptying the P61a hopper into the P43 to avoid breaking any more bags out.
I need to do my deep clean yet. I may just do it and if I burn some over the rest of the month it's going to be nominal. I need to pull it out on the slider and clean out the flue while I'm at it.
I think we were about the same if I only included the pallets I took out of storage. But I also burned bags left over from last year in the house plus bought 8 of those lame green supremes.
That is pretty much me - unless it is supposed to warm up nicely that day (because I refuse to use both the heat and A/C on same day). In that case, I just bundle up until solar gain is achieved.
OMG. It's actually 59 degrees out there right now. This might be a night were no pellets burn. I'm literally down to half a hopper and I hope this is the final upswing. I don't want to go out to the storage shed and get more bags of pellets.
My wife scored another 3 bags of Green Supremes at $3.00 a bag. Not my favorite pellet but I love the price.
I could be wrong but I think today is the day we stop burning. Big upswing in heat now and probably enough to launch us unofficially into Summer. I can hear my stove winding down now -- burning that last half of those Liggie bags wifey picked up. But then I'm leaving town for a week so it really doesn't matter. If my stove still wants edibles in late June, then I'm running our electric furnace. Therefore, I'm officially calling this the last burn day of the season. I'm always excited when Fall comes around to start the new burn season. But I'm equally excited or more so when it finishes.
For an update from the other coast, it looks like within the next week or so, we will need to start using the AC. The heat and humidity is coming...
