Thinking of getting one or the other. What do you guys like? What makes one better than the other and why? Never owned either, but ready to buy something. Will have some large rounds to turn over and don't 'tink my hookeroon will be enough to do it. Thanks in advance...

I have a Logrite 48' cant hook. It does everything I need it to. I think everyone will have their own opinion about the 2, but it's really what works for you.

Info to help you decide or confuse you more... Cant Hooks and Peaveys - LogRite Tools LLC

    Good Luck.

Since we like to help others spend their money, I suggest getting one of each & find out for yourself which one you should have bought

I have both. They are pretty much the same. A cant hook will probably give you a few more inches of functional leverage because it’s tooth will bite into your log near the tip as opposed to a peavey kind of hugging the log.

One thing that I like about a peavey and I have said before is that you can shove its point into the ground and it’ll stand up. No bending over to pick it back up or finding something to lean it against. My back likes that.

This is what I have and it’s great.
I don’t think I know the difference between a Peavey and a Cant Hook.
This is a PV CANT DOG.
I had to replace the handle and point and ended going to the OEM.

    I have a woodchuck dual.

It can be either a can’t hook or a peavy, by simply moving the pin in the end. I also have the timber jack attachment.

It’s a great tool I wish I had brought it years earlier.

I'm inclined to say at least look into the LogOx. I have a 48" Log Rite cant & the Log Ox both. Log Ox is coming out with a longer handle version. The shorter handle is it's only downfall with big stuff. It bites & holds very well & has many other functions.
