Im still trying to figure out where to store a couple pallets in my apt. Definitely gonna be made with hand tools, and a little bit of love
I like it so far. I think a panel of judges would be best to keep it unbiased. I dont see anything wrong with a competition..... I am sorry for taking so long to respond Ive been extremely busy with home and work. Ill try and keep up with this thread!
Well I think I could be in on this. Ive just built my pallet wood storage yesterday and the wood I used to hold it together was a welcome load. Its wet but oh well. I've got plenty for replacement. Guessing you guys lik pictu...oh what the heck It ain't Rachele Welch or Kate Beckensale pretty but I Know the wood I'll be putting in it will be!
I grabbed some of these longer pieces for the pallet build project. I grab the pallet blocks in the fall to burn.
Here is the sweet bridge that the previous homeowners built to cross a seasonal wet area at the back of my yard.
Couple more....had to move all that slab from the shed that needed moved over 2feet off the property line....its temporarily under my pergola...I will admit I had a coupleguysfrom work help me drag the unit over but the rest is me...pulled the old pallets on the floor and put in new and expended it 5 feet or so....I'm so excited it's coming out great...just need the final she'll and then moving the wood back
Update on the wood shed....began to restock the original portion of the shed and had the entire back row in and a third of the next and as I bent down to throw an armload in the whole back row crashed down on me....I have a knot on the back of my head the size of a golf ball and fresh new bruises on my forearms (an attractive look I know) I'm sorry there is no picture of this travesty as I was under the wood....why did this happen? I believe by having the shed now 2 feet off the fence which is directly behind it a gust of wind buckled the fiberglass enough to start a domino effect with me being the last domino....on a brighter note I did not break any nails but wonder if I had had the FHC ball cap on that I'm going to win I may not have amnesia now....please no sympathy votes....(hint hint)
My golfball is gone this morning and I was able to operate my truck enough to get to work---awaiting the blossoming of these beautiful bruises but the show must go on...
scavenger Holy crap! You have to be careful! Maybe the pallets you are using as a base for the wood piles are a bit tipsy as it looks like they are half on concrete and half on ground. Maybe this led to a collapse in the pile? If it was the slab wood that you re-stacked and fell (pictured by the patio door) I can understand as to why it fell since it seems that you can't really get a stable stack out of it after a given height. Glad about the nails, sad about the golf ball.
