Someone I know uses propane in his potato gun. Has quite the snap!

My cousin gave me a bunch of firewood she needed out of her barn. Didn’t tell me it was full of carpenter ants. We left it on her concrete behind the barn and are burning it at our other cousins house where they have a fire pit in the back yard. They live across the field from her.

only bringing enough over to burn that night and nothing more. Don’t want to spread those monsters into other clean stocks .

I never cared for the spray propellent versions. Lots of misfires, especially once the igniter gets wet. Plus I never liked using them around kids. I like compressed air the best. Easy to regulate (with a gauge on the gun tank) [IMG]

I also made the barrel removable so I can screw on different ones....like this rocket launcher barrel

Nice rig. Reminds me of my youth. But we only had gunpowder back then
Ever consider shooting a rocket from a shoulder fired rig using a rocket engine? Fun is.

I went to a Memorial Day cookout about 10 years ago and told them about my air cannon. Lots of questions and interest... so the next cookout on Fourth of July (same group of people), I brought it and when I wheeled it into the backyard I could hear squeals of excitement from the same group of 3-4 guys (ages ranging from mid fifties to mid sixties). Needless to say we shot off many a potato and everyone loved it. When I was clearing the treetops a hundred yards out with ease they started getting nervous about the highway about a half mile away through the woods. I told them "no promises", then opened the valve.
