    Before buing a new board or retrofit kit, i'd suggest taking a look at all the wiring and check for bad grounds or other non-tight connections in the harness. sometimes these wires get a little loose.

    Another thing to try is to take a look at the schematics and get a tester and trace some of the circuits that appear to be glitchy. The board itself may just need to be re-soldered.
