That among other things buddy....lol. Pete is doing an amazing job, I should've had him come to PA and help me!
I decided to use plywood because it’s smooth, fast and easy and will look fine on an outdoor bar and be functional after it’s polyurethaned. I ordered marine grade poly. The last project I used that stuff on was and still is bullet proof… here’s to hoping they haven't changed the formula.
Also I’ve decided to build a coffee table out of that water trough because I have a large section of plywood left over and I don’t want it to set around for 6 years. Something like this.
Well that was interesting but that’s the top all cut out! It’s currently stained and drying. The polyurethane showed up today and I did the main countertop first coat and am waiting for the bar top to fully dry before I put a coat on it. Hopefully tomorrow I can get a good first coat over everything else and second coat the main countertop.
So I've never been an umbrella in my drink kinda guy, but this place has the vibes for that. Hope you got enough stools for a gtg!
I ordered a 4 pack and we can seat 4 more in the patio furniture plus fill a lot of chairs around the fire pit!
Second coat of polyurethane applied today! I will Most likely apply a third coat by the end of the day. The goal is to have 5 coats total. I had to move the bar into the garage as it’s supposed to rain this afternoon and tonight. She’s a heavy bar she is!
