They’ll be good right there too. Better airflow under the wood you’ll store in that woodshed. Looks Awesome.
My friend gave me this old trough and it comes with a stand. I’m thinking about turning it into the tiki bar sink but I have to figure out how first. I’d like a drain in the bottom in order to do it right.
That will make a cool sink. Should be able to use a hole saw to make the drain opening...might have to make a flange on the back for the faucet to mount.
I moved the smoker and charcoal grill off the porch into the kitchen area and laid out the bar on the cement to get an idea of space. Looks like I’ll have plenty room for the gas grill my buddy is giving me. I have yet to restore that grill it was his dads Kenmore from the 70’s so we are keeping it alive in johns memory. Lots of good times attached to that grill… I also wired an outlet up so I can run the smoker. Eventually I’ll have to properly run power so we can install a fan and lights.
Got the old propane grill home and where it belongs! It has joined the family. It’s almost impossible to find parts for so hopefully I can clean it up and not need anything else. It appears to work. The last piece to the puzzle is to build the bar / counter area.
Curious if you've thought about having the counter attached to the back wall instead of the front? Assuming I'd (you'll) be entering from the yard the most think I would get tired of having to walk around it to get to the grills. But there's probably some aspect I'm missing. I'd like to have a place like that for grilling and smoking, looking forward to seeing it in action!
I am making it so it can move either way. It will most likely stay on the front side though. Mostly because the direction the rain comes in. The other reason is we do bonfire nights every now and then. Between family and some friends we will have 15 or 20 people show up throughout the night. I like the idea of the entrance being to the back because it makes seating easier for the bar counter as well as using it to serve food.
