Local TSC got another truckload of pellets in today. Too bad they didn't get them yesterday, there was a friends and family 15% off sale last. Folks could have taken advantage of that special to pick up their last bit of product for the season.

The truck was parked at the nearest truck stop waiting for this morning to deliver.

With HD out and Lowes only having Greene Teams. TSC piles have dropped. Only about 20 tons or so left.

I was gonna get 10 bags with the 15% off just to say I got some. But they didn't have any open pallets in the store and didn't feel like waiting for them to drag another in. So we only used it for pet supplies. :tears:

So no big sales this year? That $99 a ton Lowe's deal last year was awesome.

I agree that was a prefect storm last year BB's placed big orders , then a warm winter with cheap oil , they had to slash and burn and that was Great for us

HD is out locally. Lowes has a mountain of GT's but nutty prices. TSC has a fair amount. Just not much of a deal @$239. Pellet houses have a better bargain north and south of me anyway, All but one of my locals haven't listed their spring deals yet.

Hearing some have Still River/Brownstove for $199/ton up north. ttdberg posted a price sheet and Logic e hardwoods are $225. Others in the $240 range that also see a good bargain.

Maybe things will change after the warm temps roll in next week. I should check the prices in VT as well....

The local Ace had some pretty average prices. The home center just over the line in Chesterfield was expensive a few years back. But I think they do a 20% off this time of year. I really want to hit the Away in Bratt. They had AWF softies over the winter.

If those were the ones you had leftover, that smelled like christmass trees, always wanted to try them.

Those AWF pines do smell great and burn nice , but Man they have a hard time sliding in the hopper , the create a big funnel for me down to the slide plate . Then the stove shuts down with with anywhere from 20 - 30 lbs. of pellets still in the hopper . I roasted up 1.5 ton of them this year they were my Lowe's fire sale score last year .

Here's a couple pics of my p43 hopper . bottom pic is front of hopper top pic shows how close to the top the remaining pellets are :hair:

think I remember AWF pines doing the same thing in my P61A but not with that much in the hopper.
was always down much lower like 5lbs maybe..

Hmm. I have the add on hopper for 100 pounds capacity, and have only had one issue before. If I can score a bunch of bags ill give them a shot.

I had a similar issue with the AWFs. I would try and clean the hopper with a damp towel every few days. Great burning pellet though. And as mentioned, nice smell when you opened the bag.
