And this years sp are outstanding. Lightest ash ever. I can go days with my xxv without opening the door due to the ashpot having a moustache.

daffonce - if you don't mind me asking, what Brands are you roasting this year, besides SP ?

Any major difference in bag fines/breakage between brands this season?

North Country or LaCrete are the first choice for me with the price list you posted second would be Eagle Valley and following that would be Spruce Pointe as out of the 2 tons I burned of them they both were loaded with fines and even some chips which I screened and loved the way the burned but getting a lot of fines instead of pellets. This was last season and don't know if or how they have improved but it seems so according to daffonce, curious daffonce did you purchase these this year ?
Unless abused in storage I am partial to EV the ones coming straight from EV few fines good low ash and serious heat from consistent pellet length never an issue for me.

I got them this year. Less fines then in the past. I have burned them on multiple occasions. I have about 5 tons in the basement right now.

That's typical for North Country, they come in a 60-pack.

Man living in the northeast sucks. Pellets everywhere are so expensive because of freight

To be on the safe side, maybe grab a couple bags to try first?
