Well Woodwidow when we consider it was 900 miles east of us and we were not yet at the ocean, we have to call it "out east." Imagine for yourself driving from Vancouver to Regina and our trip was a bit longer than that.

How far east did you go?

Did you make it to NH? Maine?

Vermont is OK but NH and Maine are much better.

Yes but Maine has the Atlantic ocean, lobster rolls and whoopie pies! If they don't have at least two out of these three things in heaven then I aint going and no one can make me.:)

I'm from NH but I bow down willingly before Maine's superiority. If it were as easy to make a living in Maine as it is in NH I'd currently be a Mainer.

I must have missed the part about visiting the Soapstone business. Looks like they dipped a toe in NH. Maybe next time they're out this way they can come a little bit further.

Dana, we've been there a few times and would love to go further and drive around all the New England states and visit our many friends out there. However, the trip is long as it is and we don't seem to be getting any younger. Still, I so wish we still had our motor home as then we could really take our time and also come and go as we pleased, plus we'd have our own kitchen and bed.

If you come back out this way but have limited time I'd suggest seeing the Maine coast if you've never seen it. It's beautiful.
