Wifi cam pointed on the furnace door, then you can route that to the big screen upstairs for fire tv! I know someone that did this just so he could keep an eye on things when he had to work overtime...he'd check the furnace on his phone, then text wife to make sure to load more wood...he said it worked out great. He also had a magnetic stove top temp gauge on the furnace, and a thermometer showing house temp in the pic...with some experience you can figure out when to reload pretty quickly.
Sounds pretty high tech! Maybe I’m a bit complacent, I’ve never really worried about the stove, even after loading and leaving. Im sure it would save a bunch of trips up and down the stairs. I just count that as more exercise for the winter months.
Got er lit up. The metal is working as intended. Reflecting heat bacl into the room and keeping the wall behind it 20 degrees cooler.

Lehman's definitely attracts all sorts of people, good and bad. There is a place near me called sugar creek. Its not the sugar creek ohio. I wouldn't even call it a place but... I used to live 5 miles from it and I was outside doing yard work on day and a car pulled up and asked me where all the amish meat and cheese places are. They wanted to see the worlds largest coo coo clock too. This trio had driven all the way from Kentucky and were under the impression that they were close. I pointed north east and said its 2.5 hours that way. And they left.
As you go into your 24X7 burning you will probably find that you may damper the draft control to 1 or even less. Backwoods Savage usually cruises at about 1/2 on the draft. I'm somewhere between 1 and a bit less. As you get into that mode, you'll start to see all the variations of light shows that the stove will give you. The two most common are "Rolling Flames" and "Ghost Flames". Both are flames that are not really the wood burning, as much as the wood gassing off, and then as the gas rises to the cat, it will ignite. Maybe you see these already. It took me a bit of time to learn the stove. Even more so the Absolute Steel when I put that one in my basement/family room/home office. Enjoy the heat and the light shows.
Even down to about 1/4 between 0 and 1. That is where it is set now and I still have just a bit of flame which is about perfect. There are 2 splits of ash and 1 of soft maple in there now and it has been burning since before 7:00.

Thanks, we were short on time and projects almost always take more time than expected. We were happy to get it done before it got cold. That's pretty cool, their description is better than mine. Stoker poker. The Walden version looks like a pickaroon. The wooden handle reminds me of a campfire sandwich press. It beats getting smoke in yer eyes.
