Yes... ... we discovered when the 2000 watt generator is in there, it keeps the place warm enough to take a coat off in below zero temps. My wife actually said once, she wouldn't even want to be at the cabin during the winter if the outhouse wasn't heated. I said... well yes, that was always part of the plan...

 

Most of the country is discovering the heating potential of natural gas... Gas...

 

Well.. I expect that's one way to insure you keep the generator full of gas...

I can relate to keeping everyone in the family happy....

 

Do you have to pack water in or do you have a water supply handy? Seeing as you built on a former foundation, I am hoping there is a water supply near by.

Years ago when we talked about building a cabin in the woods and living there, my criteria was a large supply of hot water. Now with gasification boilers, that could be arranged but I am too old to be living that hard of a lifestyle.
