Our Family's new cottage

Looks beautiful Shawn! Can you install a pier or dock or will it get hammered by the waves? I'd need a place to park the beer mobile....errrrrr.....I mean boat.

 

I guess I didn't get that great of a pic. It's a black locust but it's hard to see the pea pods in the pic. I've seen toppled ones in my woods still growing even with 90% of the roots exposed. They can fix their own nitrogen from the atmosphere instead of relying on the soil.

Yeah we're planning on having a dock down there. My dad built one years ago up on wheels for another cottage we used to have access to; it's parked at the farm right now. Not sure if it would need to be adapted for the slope of the lake bed yet.

 

Locust was my second guess by the bark and branches and the low leaf showing as of yet this year
