Stack them up! I'd rather have the trees than grass. I'd think the shade especially down there would be worth a lot.

Looking good there Jeff. Making some progress. Nice that you dint have to process that gum. Do they pay good for it?

Glad you got that score but that yard looked great. A shame he wanted them all down.

I like the trees too. None of them overhang the house, though a few lean that way. We will gladly take his money and trees...

They could have been thinned a good bit and grass would still grow...

Had a full day of work Thursday. Loaded the logs we had cut Wed afternoon, then cut off several stumps 21889.jpeg
We then dropped 5 or 6 small oaks 21890.jpeg
Finished the 1st load of the day, oak and sweet gum

Ate a late lunch with our daughter and 2 grandsons. Nice to take a break with them. I think Riley likes chocolate pudding 0414221310a.jpg
Afternoon work, took down some more nice red oaks. This one had a good lean towards the road, used the tractor for encouragement 0414221712_HDR.jpg 0414221713a_HDR.jpg
Got it bucked and brush piled 0414221811.jpg
Then we dropped the biggest tree so far, my kind of Goldilocks wood. 0414221720_HDR.jpg

Didn't have room on the trailer for it this load.
2nd load of the day, 4th total from front yard. Did have a small beech on here too.
    0414221857.jpg
Some of the big oak was getting some heart rot at the top 0414221930.jpg
Dropped this load off at 7PM.
Brought tractor home, my weekend to work at the plant and need to stack these logs...
    I was a tired hoarder, realized I'm not 35 anymore...:BrianK::BrianK::sleeping::sleeping:

A friend of mine was in the Marines, that's how they used to do it. They probably learned it from rednecks!

Wow! Do I ever see Grampa in Riley's face! Probably you looked like that with chocolate pudding at that age.

Making some great progress jeff. The right tools make all the difference. It’ll be interesting to see how much firewood it turns into for you:stacker:

It will be a lot. I'm guessing at least 15 trailer loads of logs.
