They sure are. I have 4 of them. One of them I still run on felling jobs from time to time. Love those Supers....

I mainly need a couple of points ignition setups, gonna convert several of my Supers into points so I can use the electronic chip in them...

Say what? You are going to convert to points?! What's this chip you speak of?

Stihl played around with several different electronic ignitions back in the day on the 041's, none of the parts of one style electronic ignition are compatible with the other.......basically, if you can get the older points type of ignition (including flywheel, coil, etc), you can install that on your saw and then get a universal aftermarket electronic ignition chip and replace the points/condenser with it. And you then end up with a really reliable setup.

Never heard of a 1646 Partner, but there are plenty of saws I've never heard of. The seemingly absence of rhyme or reason to a lot of saw manufactures model numbers can be baffling. Stihl has about the dumbest numbering system there is. That's one thing that Husky for the most part seems to apply a little logic to.

Smoking deal on that BLK. I would have bought that if I wasn't so busy. I haven't been cruising Craigslist like I used go. Like someone said, the saws find me now a days.

Well I finally got to see and hold a BP-1, he brought it in yesterday, to my surprise it looks to be 100% complete and original, I talked him out of doing a resto on it being that it really is in very good original condition, still pulls over with great compression, I think with nothing more than going through the carb, ignition and a general go-over it would be a runner....:)

You have any coils for an 032? I have one that I suspect a bad coil on.

Haha. Yea. Sounds like you run across a pile of saws from time to time and may have some parts.

Or scotty if he happens to have one.

I think I put a wanted post up here. I'm sure it's buried down the list somewhere. I need to start another one.

The guy selling those saws re-posts his saws daily, an over-poster, I guess it just bugs me, I've never called him on any of his saws, but came close, I'd be asking about the extra clean Husky 371XP he has listed, it was priced at 425. then went back up to 475., at 425. it's a great saw in that condition and you wouldn't regret buying it, tons of parts available, I just scored a really nice one from my buddy Andy, glad to have it in my stable of saws......I have some saws in the size range your looking for, PM me if interested, we may live close by, I'm in N.E. Ohio as well......:) IMAG0351.JPG

I think I got BONED on the BLK. The guy won't answer my calls or texts, I'm betting he sold it out from under me. Which REALLY pizzes me off!

I just hope that it wasn't someone from here that did the deed!!
