    Yeah i agree black locust is a hell of a lot easier to cut and split thats my favorite firewood

    They rearranged the piles today… gave me access to a decent amount of hedge…. Not bad for 40 minutes and not bad for No Chainsaw running….

    Yep... Great size to be working with... one split and I should be happy... This spot has really helped get my supply back on par... Easy picking as I refer to it.... Not too many more days of this as they are getting closer to being done with the 6 acres tract... But hopefully a few more truck loads worth I'll be able to pull out of it....

    Is it unusual to see them growing that straight? Ive seen how hedge doesnt like to grow straight.
    Were these shoots coming off old growth stumps?

    This is an overgrown pasture, that they are working on… I’ve been watching it for 20 plus years…. most are just relatively young trees… since most are less that 12-16” across coming out…Basically limbed and cut into 6-8ft lengths…
