True, trying to talk myself into it.

I had a wood customer wanting to trade a decent splitter for firewood, but when I contacted him recently he backed out.

Yep, I think we’ve talked about it before, if you really want something on MP, you have to be willing to drop what you’re doing and go now.

    Yep.

From the way he explained it he was a truck driver and couldn't meet up as he was on the road and would let me know based on his schedule. Had I known I would've committed to buying it right there. Kinda got bad vibes from the guy anyhow.

I think we have all had something like that happen. I have showed up to a sale asap and they knew I was driving an hour to get there, only to see a truck pull out just as I pull in with MY stuff in it!!!!! People like that are next to thieves in my book, because they robbed my time and gas money.

I have had some awesome sale experiences as well. Multiple people have held stuff for a week until I could get there, but most of the time I try to go right now and let them know I am definitely going to be there.

More or less the same experiences here. Seems there's no honor in people these days. Recenty i held a chain saw for a guy as he was an hour away. Gave him my number to call if he was coming during the day as i was working closer to him. Didnt hear from him and PMed a few days later. He thought i had sold it. I had marked it pending even telling him he had dibs on it. A few days later i PMed him again and he said he wasnt driving an hour to buy it. :picard: :hair: I sold it a couple days later.

I don't mind working with people, but they have to work with me.

Whenever I have a pleasant FBM experience I thank them in person and again on messenger.
