I was surprised it took such little oil as well. 16 was not enough for me, but I only had to add another ounce or so.

No worries! Thanks again for the info. I'm seeing a lot of these popping up on Craigslist in my area. Seems like a lot of people had the "assemble and sell" idea. Good luck unloading yours. If I had a way to transport more of them, I would have considered doing it too!

At $900 is it worth bit unless its used? Maybe yalls state dont have sales tax? It was $799 and with 7% tax that comes to $854 and if you got fluid on sale at TSC you will have $15 of hydro fluid that brings you to $870. So at $900 that pays you $30 to put it together and meet someone to sell it?

    Or this....

Forest king 30 ton log splitter

I wonder if that's true, or if they are confused with the 22 ton forest king?

I could stop after work tomorrow and find out for certain.

The 22 ton unit will be able to handle anything though. Heck the didier I use is maybe 14 tons and it powers through stringy elm still.

i ran about 16 cords through a 22 ton FK unit.
    Thing was a brute.
It never broke down on me once.
I supplied it with fresh gas, a place to sleep and clean lubricating fluids.
