Thanks Y’all! I’m very fortunate, it could have been much worse for sure. Just hoping that this thread might get someone else to thinking “maybe I should slow down a little, or go at this a bit differently.”

Really big OOPS!! Makes me feel very lucky! How has it healed up?

 

Looks like a normal thumb but is 10% shorter as orthapedist had to slice and slide flesh to cover the missing chunk. With the scar tissue and nerve damage its tingly/numb and my dexterity isnt the same.
Ziploc bags are my arch enemy! Blurry pic from my cheapo flip phone.
